Here in the South it isn’t supposed to be this cold. And when I say it is cold…it is COLD! It has been in the low teens for several nights in a row now, never getting above freezing during the day. Yesterday we got a few snow flurries but not enough to lay. When you walk outside that COLD arctic air hits you in the face and chills ya to the bone. When I have to go out for something and then come back in my glasses even fog over. I am hating having to take the dogs out to go potty! It is enough to make you want one of these to put on the porch:

Isn’t that cute! We have a fire pit where we have bon fires and such but ohhh, an outdoor fireplace for the porch would be so nice! What is your weather like? It seems like the winters here over the last couple of years have just gotten crazy!

It seems that some parts of the country are already getting pounded with snow and cold weather. Ski season is in full swing and winter play has begun. If there is one thing that I hate about winter fun it is that my feet FREEZE. I can never put on enough socks or warm enough boots. This year, I am armed and ready! My feet will be all warm and cozy no matter how cold it gets. How do you like that Mr. Winter?!
What am I armed with? Ohhh, you are going to be drooling so get ready…

Sorel Boots, specifically the Sorel Caribou.
The original and best. Since 1972, the Sorel Caribou earned its reputation for warmth, durability and comfort the hard way: by protecting the feet of millions of Sorel customers through deep snow, harsh storms and the biting cold of long winters.
Rated to -40° below zero, the Caribou is the timeless choice for work and play in cold weather. The nubuck leather upper and handcrafted vulcanized rubber shell are seam-sealed for complete waterproofness and lined with a removable 9mm ThermoPlusTM felt InnerBoot that traps heat next to your foot, where it belongs. Underfoot, a thick rubber midsole insulates the boot from cold ground, while the Sorel AeroTracTM non-loading outsole provides sure footing.
