I hope that you have all had a fabulous day full of rest and relaxation. We have had a busy weekend full of good food, good friends, and family. On Saturday we went to Hiawassee to enjoy a family dinner with some pickin and grinnin. Sunday we attended a gun show, browsed the flea market and had a nice family dinner. Today…has been a lazy day. It has been pouring rain and washed out the cookout we had planned, but it’s all good. We worked on plans for Erin’s bridal shower and the wedding invitations. We didn’t do save the date cards because we just felt like that was going to be a LOT of postage so we need to be getting the invitations out soon.

In other news….

The winner of the Conair Weight Watchers Scale is: Tonya M!

Congratulations and again, Happy Labor Day!

I have been half-heartedly working on loosing a few pounds. I have been watching what I eat a little more closely (thanks to Weight Watchers), walking on the treadmill, and if you remember I tried that devil of a program called Zumba. Yeah, that didn’t go so well, it bout killed me, literally.

In my journey I knew I needed to get a scale to see if I was making any kind of progress. But how do you choose? There are so many out there. But, as you know, when you’re embarking on a weight loss program, you and your scale become very closely acquainted, even if you do hate what it has to say. And I was shocked by what mine had to say.  Conair has introduced its newest scale offerings!  Licensed by Weight Watchers, these scales not only provide great functionality, but their sleek, beautiful designs make them nice to look down at every day (even on those days when the scale is more “frenemy” than friend!)

Weight Watchers® by Conair™ Glass Body Analysis Scale Model WW52

These are scales you won’t have to hide away under the sink. As much as I hate getting on it, it does make it a little easier knowing that it is there to help me meet a goal, and looks good to boot.

Weight is not the only measurement of success for a weight loss/exercise program…there are many other factors, and how great would it be to have a bathroom scale that measures many of them in one step? The Weight Watchers by Conair Glass Body Analysis Scale  not only measures weight but also measures body fat, body water, bone mass, and BMI (body mass index). And because it has a four-user memory, it can be used by the whole family! It is fabulous!

The scale has a sleek, streamlined design along with a blue backlight on the 1.9” LCD screen with 2 lines. It features impact-resistant tempered safety glass platform with stainless steel and includes bone mass analysis. The 12.2” x 12.8” scale has a 400 lb. capacity and includes long-life batteries.

The Weight Watchers by Conair Glass Body Analysis Scale Model WW52 is available at Target, as well as at www.conair-store.com for an average retail price of $49.99.

I love cheese. I like it in almost any food and I like to eat just plain cheese. Doesn’t matter…it’s just good stuff…so when Weight Watchers asked if I would like to try out their new line I jumped at the chance. I jumped so fast I think I scared those poor folks.

WW Cheese Wedges

We received a lot of different products from their line to try out and I have to say…I liked em all! My overall favorite has to be the string cheese sticks. Ohhhhh goodness. Don’t tell anyone here but I hid them so I could have them all to myself. I ate EVERY SINGLE ONE. Weight Watchers String Cheese

I did share the shredded cheese though. I was a good neighbor and made a casserole to take to a friend and her family that needed feeding while they were in the middle of a family member’s medical crisis. They were amazed that the casserole was made with all low-fat, low-calorie products. You couldn’t tell a difference at all. I made one for my family as well and it was raved over. Not a bite left. And as you know, that is the sign of a good recipe. Speaking of good recipes, Weight Watchers has some GREAT ones! You need to try this one:

SO, my point is that if you are looking to a healthier alternative to the typical cheeses on the market, don’t be afraid to try the new line of Weight Watchers cheese. They taste great without all the fat and they are great for cooking or just eating. They also have lots of different varieties to fit most any recipe you have. I just went and stocked up on all their shredded cheese and now I have to go make some Garlic Cheese Biscuits! Yep, a healthier version. That way I can eat more than one bite! I am just giddy thinking about it!

Spring is just around the corner…and summer is on it’s way. A favorite warm weather treat in my house just happens to be ICE CREAM!! With this being the year that I have decided to really work towards eating healthier and sticking to portion control I was thrilled when I found out about all of the new Weight Watchers Ice Creams hitting stores nationwide this month. They have introduced 6 new products, 4 of which are 100 calories or less! Now that is a snack I can get excited about…for myself and my family.

Weight Watchers Chocolate Dipped Strawberry bars

  • Chocolate Dipped Strawberry Dessert Bar: Low fat strawberry ice cream with a strawberry swirl dipped in milk chocolate

Weight Watchers Dark Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake bars

  • Dark Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake Dessert Bar: Low fat cheesecake ice cream with a raspberry swirl dipped in dark chocolate

Weight Watchers Dulce de Leche bars

  • Dark Chocolate Dulcé de Leche Dessert Bar: Low fat dulcé de leche ice cream with a caramel swirl dipped in dark chocolate

Weight Watchers Strawberry Fruit Bar

  • Strawberry Fruit Bar: Made with real fruit and an excellent source of vitamin C with 15% fewer calories and 30% less sugar than other national leading brands of fruit bars

Weight Watchers Snack Size Fudge Bars

  • Snack Size Chocolate Fudge Bar: The award-winning Chocolate Fudge Bar now in a snack size

Weight Watchers Snack Size Ice Cream Sandwiches

  • Snack Size Variety Pack of Ice Cream Sandwiches in Vanilla Bean and Dutch Chocolate

I have to say…these are GREAT! I was a little skeptical because after all, it is low calorie, low fat. But there is no sacrifice as far as taste goes. Bric even said that he thinks the fudge bars taste better than the regular ones that are full of fat, sugar and calories. And when Bric says they are good…you know they are going to be. He is the biggest ice cream junkie I have ever met. I like them all but if I had to choose just one it would be the Dulce de Leche.  I am also partial to the Strawberry Fruit Bars, they taste like biting into a fresh strawberry!

After trying all 6 varieties we found that there wasn’t one that we didn’t like. That’s saying something when every member of a family likes ALL the varieties. In other words…I Scream, You Scream, We ALL Scream for Ice Cream! Wells Enterprises, the company that makes Blue Bunny makes the Weight Watchers Ice Cream…no wonder it is so stinkin good!

Opps, I have to go. There isn’t but one Dulce de Leche bar left and it is calling my name before someone else gets to it!

“I received samples of the ice cream bars thanks to Wells Enterprises and Weight Watchers to help facilitate this review. I was in no other way compensated for this post because really…ice cream is enough. Who doesn’t love a good ice cream bar? Especially one that isn’t going to add any of the pounds that I am trying to get rid of. Seriously, it’s the best of both worlds! And I can’t forget to tell you that all opinions are those of my own because I can’t imagine anyone else wanting to use my opinions. And did you get the part that SPRING is almost here? WooHoo!!! I can’t wait.”
