We LOVE Family Movie Night. And when it gets to be cold outside, I love it even more. Snuggled up on the couch, hot chocolate all around, the smell of popcorn throughout the house. It’s just yummy anyway you look at it!

Make sure that you tune in tonight for P&G’s Family Movie Night. Isn’t it great to know there are movies on TV the entire family can enjoy. It doesn’t matter how old or young, there is something for everyone and always a life lesson to learn.  Coming to NBC tonight – Friday, December 2nd –  at 8pm ET/7pm CT is another great family movie titled “Game of Your Life“. I had the privileged of previewing “Game of Your Life” and as always, you’re gonna love it! So grab the popcorn and get ready to see just how the choices that we make can affect so much more than just that one situation. It can affect our whole life…and the lives of others.

Synopsis: When high school gamer Zach Taylor lands a scholarship to an exclusive video game design program led by billionaire gaming icon Marcus Bentton, his future takes a promising turn… as long as he can survive the intense freshmen project that eliminates half of the class in the first three months. Teamed up with determined group leader Sara and his brilliant yet socially awkward roommates, Donald and Phillip, the four set out to involve the entire campus in a quirky new social interactive game. As the project intensifies, Zach learns that his father is in financial trouble. Distracted and desperate to help, he accepts an opportunity to work with Bentton on a secretive and suspicious side project. Zach finds himself stretched to his limits and torn between his responsibility to the team and his desire to help his father. With nowhere else to turn, he confides in Professor Abbie Lambert and is forced to make a decision that will affect his future and the lives of everyone around him.

Game of Your Life Cast

You will recognize a few of the actors and actresses in the movie. Titus Makin Jr. from Glee stars as college freshman Zach Taylor. Nathan Kress from “iCarly” plays Phillip and Adam Cagley, from “The Suite Life of Zack and Cody” as Donald and Lea Thompson.

“Game of Your Life” TONIGHT, NBC 8PM EST. Don’t miss it!

“P&G provided me with a preview of the movie and some promotional items to help facilitate this post. But ya’ll all know I LOVE Family Movie Night and you would have to beat me with a stick to keep me away. And, as usual…all opinions stated are my own. Hey, if you have some extra Kettle Corn can you send some my way? Tate ate all mine and that is kinda my favorite. Ok, I think I am all through disclaiming now and we will return to our regularly scheduled program”

We all have skeletons in our closet. Some are born of our own perception of events.

Without facing those skeletons it is sometimes hard to move forward in life. Jake is finding that out in the new P &G / Walmart Family Movie Night premier on September 3rd at 8 PM EST on NBC.

Game Time Tackling the Past

Pro football star Jake Walker is just one season away from setting an all-time receiving record that will guarantee him a spot in the Hall of Fame. But when he gets news that his father has suffered a serious heart attack, Jake leaves training camp and returns to Riverton, the small hometown he’s avoided for nearly 15 years.  Past memories of glory and regret resurface as Jake is forced to reconnect with the family and community he abandoned in pursuit of his career. A call from his agent delivers another crushing blow – Jake’s contract will not be renewed. Stripped from the thing he cares about most, the real Jake begins to emerge from behind his armor to see that life proves more than the accumulation of personal stats. But when he’s offered a lucrative new contract with another team, he must decide whether to go back to the career he thought he loved, or stay in Riverton and embrace the people who have always been there for him.

I can’t emphasize enough how wonderful these movies are! With each one I say it is my favorite so far because they just keep getting better and better. So, once again…this is a must see for the whole family. Grab the popcorn, turn down the lights and let’s get ready to rumble!! Watch as Jake learns the difference between being a good man and just looking like one.

“I was provided with the opportunity to preview the movie before release however I was in no way compensated for this post. I truly believe in the wholesome family movies that P&G and Walmart are producing to encourage families to come together, watch some good entertainment and spend time together.”

A dear friend of mine gave me a gift recently. It was one of those gifts that you never thought you wanted but wondered how you ever lived without it once you received it. No, it wasn’t anything as crazy as women’s or mens sexy lingerie. As most of you know we live in the sticks. Cable isn’t available in our neck of the woods and so, she decided that I needed Netflix.

OhMyStinkinHeck! How on earth we ever lived without Netflix I will never know. When  she gave me this gift of unlimited shows and movies at just the touch of a button my first thought was what in the heck do I need this for? After a few days I am wondering how in the heck did I ever live without it. It completely sucked me in. See, she also told me that if I had never watched the show “LOST” I should check it out because it was one of those shows that makes you think and ponder and it would be right up my ally.

So, in just a few days I am now on Season 3 of “LOST” and I think I need an intervention to tear me away from the TV so that I can actually get something accomplished besides making a dent in the couch.

…I don’t sleep much. That means that I watch a lot of late night TV. During the day, I never even turn the TV on but at night when everyone else is sound asleep is about all there is to do. My condition started years ago when I worked 24 hour shifts on the ambulance and if it was a busy night there was no sleep to be had, it never went away.

I see commercials for all kinds of things from the latest acne treatments like epiduo to the latest cooking gadgets. And that is where I first saw Zumba. After watching the infomercial several times I decided to order it. That is where it all went downhill. OhMyStinkinHeck!! It is hard. It looks really fun but in hindsight I think that might have been because everyone wears a size 2 and is already in shape. So, if you are looking for a almost brand new complete Zumba set with the shaker weights included you just let me know. Till then I guess I will just have to see if I can survive another day of it.
