recipe rock

Every once in a while a product comes along that is so simple yet is profound. This is one of those!! Why has someone not thought of this before? I have needed it forever ago and now use it CONSTANTLY! If you have been even remotely good this year you need to tell Santa that you want one of these in your stocking.

What is it?  Well, it is called The Recipe Rock.

What does it do? Why it holds printed recipes!

You know, those that you print off of the internet then lay on the counter to follow. Then they get splashed or a stain, then the ink runs and smudges. With more than 70 percent of cooks reporting they choose the Internet over cookbooks, Recipe Rock from Architec Housewares will be the perfect sous chef for all that holiday dinner prep work. It holds your printed recipes upright and keeps them off of the counter-top so there are no smudges or smears and are easier to read.

This small 2-inch, sculpted, concave “rock” simultaneously holds up to eight pages of printed recipes upright at the ideal viewing angle and prevents pages from sauce splatters and dirty hands. With its innovative new way to hold recipes and its $9.99 price point, Recipe Rock is the perfect stocking stuffer or last minute gift for the cooks in your life.

Recipe Rock is perfect for recipes from the Internet, magazines and even note-cards. And it is small enough to fit in a drawer or recipe box! But I just leave mine on the counter with a favorite recipe.

Recipe Rock is simple, practical and extremely easy to use. Just remove the metal ball from the magnetic rock, place the pages upright in front of the rock and replace the ball on the rock with the papers in between.

I am spending the night wrapping presents, making my baking list (and grocery store list) and just generally trying to get everything organized for the all that I have to do this next month. Making Bric a list of some things that I would like to see in my stocking, etc.

One of my new addictions are these mints that my friend Christy got me addicted to. They are the new Breath Savers 3 Hour Mints. OhMyStinkinHeck those things are good. So I made sure to put like 5 packs on my stocking wish list. Bric just shakes his head. He fusses because there won’t be much surprise factor since I tell him everything I would like to see but I would much rather get things I want and would use instead of stuff that sits in a drawer for a year when I finally decide to get rid of it.

My kids are just thankful that I don’t put stuff to treat acne and other things of that nature in their stocking. They say it is bad enough to get underwear.

Some of the hardest gifts for me to figure out each year should be the easiest. The little hostess gift for that friend throwing a party. A little thank you gift for the friend who came over and helped dip 500 cookie sandwiches in white chocolate. A little addition to go into my Mom’s stocking. And, a little something for that unexpected someone that you didn’t know was stopping by and brought you a gorgeous scarf that they knitted especially for you.

This year, instead of standing there with that “deer in the headlights” look that gives you away…wrap up some of the great new Febreze products to have on hand for those occassions where you need a gift that you didn’t know you needed, or as a thank you, or as a stocking stuffer! Oh, and can you let me know? I would love to drop in unannounced. I am especially partial to the Wooden Wick Candles and the No-Spill Diffuser. Any flavor will do.

Febreze Home Collection

The Febreze Home Collection is the brand’s scented décor line offering five contemporary products designed as stylish accents to enhance the scent experience and ambience of any room in the home.

Wooden Wick Candle

The latest extension of the Home Collection line is the Wooden Wick Candle. This blended soy candle brings the ambiance and sound of a crackling fire indoors and is available in festive scents including Anjou Pear Spice, Yumberry Sangria, Cranberry Pear and Gingersnap Vanilla.

Flameless Luminary

Flameless Luminary

The new Febreze Flameless Luminary accents your home with scent and style. It comes with decorative, scented shades that let a flickering light shine through. Then for something fresh and new, simply replace your scented shades with the latest scents and designs.

No-Spill Diffuser

No Spill Wood Diffuser

The new Febreze No Spill Wood Diffuser refreshes any room, worry-free. The unique WoodWick© design diffuses the scent of the oil into the air through its stylish wooden lid. And even if it is tipped on its side, the No Spill Wood Diffuser never spills the scented oil from within.

All of the products in the Febreze Home Collection are fabulous and I haven’t found a scent I disliked yet. Check them out for your gift giving needs this year. Your family and friends will be so gald that you did!

Remember to visit the Febreze Facebook fan page at www.facebook.com/febreze or find them on Twitter (@Febreze_Fresh) at www.twitter.com/Febreze_Fresh and YouTube at www.youtube.com/febreze.

Nestle provided me with a complimentary gift pack to help facilitate this post. I was in no other way compensated and all opinions stated are those of my own. My favorable opinion was in no way influenced by receipt of gift pack, I just happen to really love Nestle products.
