Preparing for many things all at once can be sooo overwhelming. I am not even sure where to start first. I promised to help prepare for a baby shower tomorrow. I am in charge of shredded BBQ, hot spinach artichoke dip, the cupcakes and I can’t even remember what else.
We are preparing to put up green beans today. My Mom and Erin started stringing and snapping the yesterday and I finished them up last night while watching Royal Pains. I love that show. And it certainly doesn’t hurt that Burn Notice is on before it. In case you want to check them out they are on the USA Network.
Tonight is the big Orange Belt test for Tate. So we have been preparing for that. I am sure that it isn’t that hard or anything, but it is a big deal to him, that makes it a big deal to the rest of us. So, I have been watchin and critiquing his kicks, punches, blocks, forms, etc. He is so excited.
Yesterday we went and picked up our new glasses. We are having to take care of anything medical that we feel we should. That means all the yearly visits for vision, dental, etc. Why all now you ask….well, there may be some changes in employment going on. I can’t really say much more than that at this point but the minute anything happens I will let you know.
I finally caught Mama Deer with the camera. We have been seeing this little family A LOT. They must be bedded down in the woods very close because they play in the yard almost every afternoon and I see them crosing the diveway often. I will have to see if I can get you an updated picture of the twins, they are growing fast.

Forgive me. Tate hasn’t had a bath in almost 2 weeks. He was getting pretty rank. Please don’t think I am a terrible Mother because of this. It is because of a few reasons…one, he is an 1 1year old boy. 11 year old boys like mud and dirt, not clean water. The second reason is because of his thumb. We have tried very, very hard to save the end of it and it looks as if we have succeeded. Wednesday will be 2 weeks and it looks as if it has almost completely healed and nicely at that. He is a lucky little boy. And this evening…he got a haircut, and a shower. Ohh he smells SOOO much better. But, I would rather have had a stinky little boy rather than a thumbless one. I would rather people think I was a terrible Mother than a Mother taking her son to have part of his thumb amputated. The joys of parenthood.
