Fun In The Sun

This year for the 4th of July we have a heck of a weekend planned. We will spend Saturday in Hiawassee visiting with family and friends, eating good food and hanging out at Carter Camp listening to everyone pick and watching them grin. Yep, that’s right…a good old fashioned Pickin’ and Grinnin’. It is an event that we look forward to every year and I can’t wait.

Then on Sunday we will be going to a cookout at some friends house where we will lounge by the pool, eat good food and just have a relaxing good time.

Monday will be a day full of fun on the lake. Riding around on the boat, tubing, skiing, and all that fun stuff.

In other words we will be outside ALL weekend. With us all having fair skin that means gobs of sunscreen applied on a regular basis and hoping like heck none of us gets burned too bad. Erin and I have both had scares with skin cancer and it runs rampant in my family. We have to be really, really careful and make sure that our sunscreen is of high quality and it isn’t expired. I have tried several different screen protectors for my phone. My biggest problem is applying them correctly so that there isn’t bubbles and they are aligned properly. With the 3M brand they go on a little easier than other brands that I have tried.
