There are many reasons that I love Publix. 1.) They like you almost as much as I do…and they want to give one of you a $25 giftcard. 2.) They have some great deals and everyday prices. 3.) They always have great recipes and information about food to make your life easier, happier and healthier! 4.) It is always CLEAN! There is nothing worse than going into a grocery store, where you buy your food and it be dirty and smell funny. Make sure that when you visit Publix to ask at the Customer Service Desk for that weeks coupons. They have flyers with store coupons to make your shopping trip even more economical. Also make sure to print coupons from the site mentioned below and then paired with manufacturer coupons you will get some great deals! AND, to get even better deals…they accept competitors coupons! Talk about racking up some deals, this is the place!

We hear about the health benefits of shopping the perimeter of the grocery store all the time. Fresh fruits, vegetables, meats…you know all the good stuff!  To celebrate the wonderfulness of the perimeter…Publix has a great event coming up! Starting April 24th, shop the perimeter of the store and load up your cart with fresh delicious produce and meats. Then, head into the aisles to complete your meals with condiments and sides. When you purchase participating products, you can save on store brand items such as bagged salad, chicken breasts, eggs and fresh fruit. What am I going to be buying? My list includes avocados, asparagus, Brussels sprouts, tomatoes, corn, sweet potatoes and onions. I can’t wait to cook up some delicious goodies I have been craving!

Publix Breakfast Savings graphic

Breakfast around here is the craziest time of the day. Everyone gets up and leaves at a different times. Starting with Matt leaving at 6, then Bric at 7, Tate might show his face around 9 and Erin usually doesn’t emerge until noon. See, I am telling you, we are all on very different schedules. Me, I am usually the last to be and the first to rise. I just don’t sleep much. I think it all stems from working on the ambulance years ago and going for days without much sleep. So, I still don’t sleep much, but I am getting better about it. With that being said, it is impossible to fix a breakfast everyone can enjoy.

So, after watching loads of time and money go down the drain due to everyone going a different direction and just grabbing something on the road, it was time to re-think our breakfast routine. We took the challenge and discovered how much time and money we could save each week by shopping and eating breakfast at home. You should too. We were SHOCKED. For the price that we ate breakfast out ONE day, we could all eat at home for about 2 weeks. Even with everyone liking a different cereal or breakfast food!!

April 1st – April 10th during the Publix® Breakfast Savings event, you can take advantage of great savings on some of your family’s favorites like Honey Nut Cheerios, Cinnamon Toast Crunch and other General Mills breakfast items. For coupon offers on varieties items your whole family will love make sure to visit the Publix Breakfast Savings page at http://www.everydaysaver.com/publix.

Make sure to check out the General Mills coupons at Publix and for more information you can visit the Publix website and follow them at Publix on Facebook and Publix on Twitter.

Jyl's Deals Logo

Most folks who know me, know that I am about as frugal as they come. I love a good deal and I love to stockpile items that I get a good deal on. Because of that I get a lot of phone calls from friends and family asking me what the good deals are for that week. They want to know what I am going to be buying. And that is how Jyl’s Deals came about. This is not a couponing site. I won’t be matching up all the deals for all the stores for you, there are TONS of sites that already do that, and they are easy to find (my favorite site is Southern Savers, she has all the stores and a coupon database!). This is strictly what I will be buying, where I will get it and where I got the coupon to make the deal happen. So, welcome to Jyl’s Deals!

These are the deals that I will be getting the week of February 17th, 2013. Yes, I go to multiple stores. When there is a good stock up price I buy as many of those items as I have coupons for. Before you go to the store KNOW that stores coupon policy. If they are out of an item make sure to get a raincheck. There are many, many tips for couponing, but with a little organization and pre-planning you can get some really good deals.

OhMyStinkinHeck! Do you ever look at jewelry online? Bric desperately needed a new wedding band. We both had the traditional 14 karate gold bands and his has been dented, bent, banged, lost, found, dented some more, bent some more lost again, found again. Bric has lost some weight and his ring had just gotten too large which is why it kept getting lost. Luckily it keeps getting found, not always by us, but found and returned.

I started searching for new bands for us, even though I really didn’t need a new one. He wanted a metal that would last. And last. And last. After looking around he thought Titanium would be good, but it is silver and wouldn’t match my gold. So, new bands all around it is. I found some really good deals at Amazon and ordered us a set. The original price was over $400. I paid $26…shipping included. WoooHooo! I love clearance deals. So, whether you are looking for a personalized mother necklace, a ring, earrings or wedding rings check out some of the online deals. I was SUPER pleased and you can save a boat-load of money. And ya’ll all know how frugal I am …there is just nothing better than a good deal!
