Bed Bouquet (GIVEAWAY)
October 19th, 2009THIS CONTEST IS CLOSED!!!

Bed Bouquet is a small fragrance pack that you place on your mattress, under your bottom sheet to keep your sheets smelling fresh for 30 days. It is such a simple concept it makes you wonder why no one thought of it sooner. Bed Bouquet was inspired by the creators Mom. One day she told her son that she wished there was some sort of product to keep her linens smelling fresh. Us Moms, we are inspiring!
The general concept surrounding the creation of Bed Bouquet was to develop an apparatus that would be physically unnoticeable to the sleeper, yet, emit a soft fragrance throughout the bed sheets for weeks in order to eliminate the need for daily application. It was also important to ensure that the unit be designed to avoid all chemical-to-skin contact that could lead to irritation. The results, a specially designed fragrance pad with a pliable housing and adhesive backing that when placed on the mattress contours with the sleeper’s body position, thus, going undetected. The top openings of the apparatus allow a mild and tantalizing scent to permeate throughout the sheets giving consumers daily enjoyment of their selected fragrance. Bed Bouquet uses only the finest oils to capture the essence of the fragrance and all oils are certified by the International Fragrance Association.
I started out with my Bed Bouquet near the head of the mattress. Well, that was a little too strong for me so I placed it in the middle of the mattress which turned out to be perfect. I think as the days go by and the fragrance pack isn’t as strong I will be able to move it up…but for at least the first week mine will always go in the middle. They have many different scents so there is something sure to please most everyone’s tastes. Hmmm, would that be tastes or sniffs. Sniffs I think. Or Sniffers.
Anyway….Bed Bouquet is offering you the chance to try out a set of Bed Bouquet Secret Scentsations for yourself. Two lucky readers will win a sample kit which includes two units.
To Enter: Visit Bed Bouquet and take a look around. Leave a comment here on this post telling me which scent you would choose, or something that you learned on their site. All entries must be received by Oct. 28th at 5 PM EST. All entries must have a valid US mailing address. Winners will be selected at random and will have 3 days to respond to the verification e-mail.

RUMMINO!
October 17th, 2009Rummino is a tile game that is fun for the whole family. The younger set may find it a little harder to catch on, but once they do…they will likely be beating your socks off. It took us a little while to get going good but once we did we all loved Rummino. The only bad thing I can say is that I wish they had a little clearer directions, other than that, it is tons of fun and your family will love adding this game to their Family Game Night. We did eventually figure it all out after a round or two, and after that it was all fun ahead. We have dragged some family friends in to play and now have them as addicted to the game as we are…but I figure that once they have the chance to beat me, they will forgive me. So far, I reign supreme! Tonight will tell if that continues to hold true.

Art-iculating Kid’s Creativity
October 13th, 2009
The Art House DVD series uses energetic songs and animation to reinforce this simple artistic principle: everything around you is made up of basic shapes and when you learn to draw those, you can draw anything!
Art House Volume 1: Basic Shapes and Animals is fun and educational, teaching your child to use basic shapes to create pictures and drawing that are worthy of your home art gallery, the refrigerator door. Now you can join Teacher Emily and the Art House Gang as they learn to use basic shapes to draw your favorite animals and enjoy fun songs, music videos and animation throughout the video.

Locally we have seen some major cut backs in the public school system and electives were some of the first programs to be cut. Art was considered an elective class, but with the loss of recreational time and many of the more creative classes…how are children supposed to nurture their natural desire to be creative and unique individuals? Art House has come to the rescue with a program that will help us as parents develop those artistic skills at an early age promoting problem solving, communication, curiosity and perspective. Children ages 3 and up will benefit from Art House Volume 1: Basic Shapes and Animals. They will learn to draw things such as fish, dogs, birds, dinosaurs, monkeys and more. The program is interactive and easy to follow along with providing step-by-step instructions along the way.
There are some future titles in the works that are scheduled to be released in 2010 that include:
Volume 2: Start Your Engines
Volume 3: On the Farm
Volume 4: Under The Sea
As a Homeschool parent that is always on the lookout for fun and educational supplements to our core curriculum, I highly recommend Art House Volume 1: Basic Shapes and Animals. It can be used with multiple aged children and it is just fun. I even learned a lot. Of course, I am not an artist by any means. So any help was just that…help. Because when even your kids make fun of your dog that looks like a blob, you know you need help.
So grab some paper, some pencils, some pens, some crayons and let’s go create!
“Art House sent me a copy of the DVD for review purposes. I was in no other way compensated for this post and all opinions are those of my own and have been in no way influced by any outside source.”
