The longest fingernails belonged to American Lee Redmond, who started to grow them in 1979 and carefully manicured them to reach a total length of 8.65m (28ft 4.5in). Lee lost her nails in a car accident this year. The man with the most body piercings is Briton John Lynch, aka Prince Albert, who was counted as having 241 piercings, including 151 in his head and neck
