Ok, I am a slacker. I admit it. Life gets in the way, I get behind and things turn to chaos.

I have this new thing that we just can’t help snuggling with. She is just too adorable!

yuffi

She will cuddle in just as close as she can. She is such a people dog. She likes being in the thick of things and loves all of the attention you are willing to lavish on her and then some. We think she is such a star that she should be receiving tv deals. And oh my goodness, those little puppy licks will get you every time!

And we had company over for dinner and cards last night. And to prepare for that I had to do a gazillion loads of laundry. Seriously…and I still don’t have it all caught up. Why I have so much laundry I have no idea. But I have done about 7 loads a day for the past 3 days. AND JUST LET ME SAY…I am SICK of laundry!

Karate is every night this week, we are preparring for a tournament this weekend. Tate will not be competing because…on Monday he received his Yellow Belt. So, with him moving up a belt and a tournament so soon he decided that we would just go watch, support his fellow teammates and volunteer our services to support our studio in the tournament. It is sponsored by UKS, where Tate takes and they will need people to run for stuff, ScoreKeepers, TimeKeepers, etc. DO I have a picture of Tate getting his Yellow Belt? NOOooo, this well prepared mother forgot her camera at home.

Now, the whole point of this post is to announce some winners. Well, that is at least what it started out having the intention of.

Yoplait – #1 – JamieZ

Tacofuness – #49 – Melanie

Congrats on your wins!!

A friend called us for some computer help on Thursday. I met her in Hicktown to pick up her computer so that Bric could fix a few issues that she was having…and she had one of her dogs with her. Oh my stinking heck…I fell in total LOVE. After we talked for awhile and I left with her computer in tow, all the while thinking about how adorable her dogs are. She had given me one of her business cards and I went to check out her SITE and see the puppies that she has up for sell. Well, today I went with her to Chattanooga to run an errand and then I went Trick or Treating at her house and this was the treat I came home with:

yuffi-048

Meet Yuffi. Named by Tate after some character off of Final Fantasy. She is this tiny little ball of fur that is so sweet and cute beyond belief.

yuffi-042

She is a Toy Australrain Shepard and will only get to be about 11 inches tall and weigh about 10 pounds when fully grown.

yuffi-035

Roxie is very unsure of this new “ball” that we have. But she sure like when that little “ball” runs around and around the couch. She thinks it is her new toy. But the funny thing is that when I am playing with the puppy Roxie gets all over me and “fusses” at me for messing with HER baby.

Trick or Treating sure was fun this year!

This has been an insane week for us. It started off by the addition of the new puppy…who is chewing on anything and everything by the way. She is going to drive me crazy before she gets out of that stage I am afraid. But, she does really well about going outside to potty. The potty training is the biggest reason I didn’t want a puppy. Luckily she is smart enough to know that I would probably wring her neck if that was an issue.

A while back we sold my car. Since Erin and all her friends are basically grown and no longer depended on me for transportation, we no longer needed such a large vehicle. AND, I wanted something better on gas. We had decided that we wouldn’t even look until Erin started college, that she and I could just share until then and we would save up to pay cash for something. So, we have been out looking today and came home with a 2006 white Suzuki Forenza. (Pictures later)

Today was also mine and Bric’s anniversary, which both of us promptly forgot. Yes, I know it is sad that we have both forgotten our anniversary for 2 years in a row until the day of. We make a huge deal out of all birthdays but we can’t remember that we got married at one point in time. Luckily, we had bought flat panel wide-screen monitors for each of us on Monday and used those as our gifts. Sad, yes…but we both desperately needed new monitors, mine wouldn’t even turn on half the time and when it would it was so light you could barely read it and his was doing all kinds of weird stuff as well. Now, because the monitors we bought are wide-screens, my video card needs to be updated. Because it is old and analog, and something or other else it makes everything look all stretched out, like one of those crazy carnival mirrors.

I did finally pick a winner for the Yoplait Summer treat giveaway and that is:

#116 Tiffany S.

Congratulations Tiffany. Please check your e-mail for confirmation and instructions.

Tomorrow, all 3 dogs get to go to the vet. All are due for their shots, Gabby needs her eye checked (really, she needs to see an Orange New Jersey cosmetic dentist ). Her teeth are horrible. Alot of it is due to her rough life before she came to live with us and part is due to her age. The puppy, Rhody, need the works and Roxie needs her nails trimmed. Yes, I pay the vet to trim her nails. I cut one too close one time and golly gheeze I didn’t think she would ever forgive me and I didn’t think it would ever stop bleeding. So since that day she has her nails done. Luckily her vet loves her to pieces and doesn’t charge much at all for doing that nasty little deed.

Friday…I am going to crawl under the covers with a good book and hibernate. That is my plan anyway, we shall see if it comes to fruition.
