Perfect for both men and women alike. Bric has LOVED playing with the new DEWALT tools making jobs around the house both easier and quicker. I wish these lighter weight tools had been around when we were looking for the tools that Erin needed to take to her Electrical Wiring competitions. They will however be great for her to use throughout her college days and beyond as she has to continue to take some electrical courses for her Engineering degree. The small, lightweight design of these tools is ideal for cabinetmakers, HVAC professionals as well as electrical, mechanical and general contractors who perform overhead drilling and fastening applications. The compact lithium ion battery (DC9181) charges in 30 minutes and is compatible with the existing system of DEWALT 18V power tools, providing users with more options to pick the right battery for the job. The handles of the tools offer a better grip and increased user comfort. The DEWALT compact lithium ion battery weighs 1.0 lb and helps to reduce user fatigue when completing overhead applications.
Performance
For maximum performance, the DCD760KL compact drill driver and DCD775KL compact hammerdrill provide increased speed to complete a wide range of applications. Additionally, the DCF826KL compact impact driver and DCD690KL compact right angle drill have a variable speed reversing switch, providing users with more control for both setting and removing fasteners. The DCD760KL, DCF826KL and DCD775KL are equipped with a high-power, high-efficiency frameless motor that delivers increased performance for drilling and fastening applications.
The compact lithium ion battery is built with DEWALT-designed electronics that promote cycle life and cell protection. As a result, the new compact lithium ion battery is rated at 1,000 recharges.

For increased productivity, all DEWALT batteries can be charged with a yellow universal lithium ion charger that is compatible with DEWALT nickel cadmium and lithium ion batteries. The new compact lithium ion batteries charge in less than 30 minutes.
System Options and Compatibility
The compact lithium ion battery is compatible with the existing system of DEWALT 18V power tools produced since 1996. The backwards compatibility of the compact lithium ion battery enables users to continue to expand upon their existing 18V platform. Each 18V battery provides users with specific benefits:
XRPTM Lithium Ion - for all drilling and cutting applications
Compact Lithium Ion - overhead drilling and impacting
XRPTM - power and run-time for heavy-duty applications
Compact - balance of power, run-time and weight

I LOVE Air Conditioning and a Winner

June 1st, 2009

I am so sorry I am late in closing the Pledge Multi-Surface Cleaner Giveaway. But, when you live in the middle of nowhere you learn to live with inconveniences. Our power has been out again today…for HOURS. Why? Cause a logging truck ripped the lines down. How can something like that happen? They pile the logs too high. This is about the 3rd time this has happened just this year. Not to mention all of the outages because of weather. The little technician or engineer or whatever he was that came down here to let me know what was going on said that they had tried to tell the powers that be at the lovely GA Power that they needed to raise all the lines down here…but they just wouldn’t listen. Well, they got raised this afternoon, and that wasn’t all that was raised I will assure you. Since the power was out, no cooking. So, after I got ready to run out to pick something up and be able to sit in the car with that holy stuff called air conditioning, the freakin power trucks are all in my driveway, can’t get out. Not at all. And, they were there for a LONG time raising all the power lines.

Anyway, I now have power, bet you couldn’t have guessed that though. And without further ado, here is the winner..

#31 Katherine

Katherine, I hope you enjoy cleaning those mirrors! Check your e-mail for verification and instructions. Congratulations!!

For the rest of you…have a great evening. I am going to lay on top of an air conditioning vent!

Ya’ll Come Back Ya Here!

MI City

May 17th, 2009

Last night we endured the storms from hadies. How do you spell Hadies, Haydees, oh well, whatever…you get the point…the DEVIL sent em. So we were without power once again but thank goodness it wasn’t for as near as long this time. But if the wind whispers the wrong way we loose power so since the wind was REALLY blowing last night…away it went. Good old Georgia Power, gotta love em. Double the rates during the summer. Unreliable service that goes out if the wind whispers. Rude customer service. And of course we have no other option unless we buy a wind mill. But after all the thunder, lightening, wind, and hail died down and the rain settled in…the temperature here has dropped all day and it is actually pretty cool. Cool weather = comfort food. Bric wanted Salmon Patties, Tate wanted Gravy and Biscuit. So, we are having myocardial infarction city here tonight. Salmon Patties, Gravy, Biscuits, Fried Potatoes. Oh so good but oh so bad for you. Wanna come join us?

Birthday, Power and A Winner!

April 14th, 2009

Thank you Power People for the BEST Birthday Present EVER!! I LOVE POWER!! I really really love power. I love you technology! I love you working refrigerator. I love you hot water. I love you COFFEE POT!! Thank you for all working now. I promise I will never take you for granted again. Oh, and I love you power company men who have worked tirelessly through the night so I could have my power come on at 3:30 AM.  You just can’t beat the good ole’ boys. I bet their Mamas were raisin a ruckus about this power situation.

Here in Hick Town we had a little wind the other night (read: LOTS and LOTS of wind) and it knocked power out to most of our county. And places in other counties as well. And we had a huge tree fall across our driveway. So, not only did we not have any power…we were stuck. Some great neighbors came over Monday evening and got us un-stuck but we were still without power, so after a food run me and the kids escaped for a couple of hours to my sister’s house where we accessed her technology and body washing facilities.

Winner of the Apron: #161 Jen Congratulations!! Check your e-mail for verification.

Oh, and Happy Birthday to me. I hope I get a lemon pie! I asked for one. Maybe now that she has power my Mom will be able to pull through for me.
