What do you do with a bag of plums that are going to go bad on you very, very soon if you don’t do something??

Why, make a plum cobbler of course!

I love cobbler and I love how easy they are to make.

plums

Just choose your fruit of choice. I am pretty lucky to be able to find fruits that are clearance priced at my local grocer. This bag of plums was .99!! But really you can use any fruit, even frozen or canned. And the cobbler recipe that I use is the same one my grandmother used. It has simple ingredients and is easy to throw together at a moments notice. It is also a very popular recipe for many families all across the nation.

diced plums

To make this deliciously easy cobbler simply chop up 4-6 cups of which ever fruit you choose.

If it is a tart fruit you are going to want to add about a cup of sugar to the fruit to sweeten it up a little.

Melt one stick of butter in a 8 X 12 baking dish. Mix together 1 cup of flour, 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of milk. Pour over the melted butter in the baking dish. Add your fruit to the top, but do not stir.

Bake on 375 degrees for 40-45 minutes.

It is that easy!!
