Oscar Mayer Turkey Bacon is a HIT
February 22nd, 2010I hosted an Oscar Mayer Turkey Bacon party recently…and we had such a good time.
Thanks to Oscar Mayer we had napkins, a grocery list that has a magnetic back, recipe cards and a coupon for a free pack of turkey bacon for everyone in attendance.
Our special guest was Oscar. He hung out on the table all day and really enjoyed dancing and singing for everyone.
Oscar Mayer also provided the sparkly centerpiece, a serving tray, tongs and a spatula.
Other than the Oscar Mayer recipes I provided a few of my own.
This Quiche was made from Oscar Mayer Turkey Bacon, Spinach, low fat cheese, and Egg Beaters.
Super easy to make, tasted fabulous…I almost got it WAY too done.
I also cut up chunks of deer tenderloin. I marinated it overnight then wrapped each piece in Oscar Mayer Turkey Bacon and cooked it.
Ohhh, it was so good!
We call them Hoo-Dats. Not sure why, that is just what we have always called them.
We had a house full of friends and family enjoying one anothers company and having food on the table.
All the guest received some great goodies from Oscar Mayer and learned just how great tasting and versatile Oscar Mayer Turkey Bacon can be.

I have so much to tell you later! My weekend in Nashville was in one word WOW. From the Country Inn(troduction) Blog Party to the modern sofas at movie night it was non-stop. I wish I had felt better during the weekend to take further advantage of all that was offered but I think I over did it before I even got there. I am still recuperating and plan to just take it easy for several days. I hope that you all had a fabulous weekend and I can’t wait to catch up!

I am going to Nashville!
Yeppers, I really am. There is so much going on this week it isn’t even funny. Packing, getting a haircut and eyebrow wax, cooking enough BBQ for about 200 people, throwing a huge party in Nashville and attending a blog conference! I sooo wish I had a new camera to take along. You know, one of those unique gifts for her that she never buys herself. Anyway, I am not sure I can fit everything that I need to do before I leave in…but I will make it somehow or another.
I seriously hope I get to see some fabulous country music star. There is going to be an appearance by Harry Conick Jr for the conference attendees on Friday night but I chose to go forward with a learning dinner instead of attending the concert. I know. Now, if it had been George Straight you can bet yoer britches I wouldn’t have missed that for the world! That man makes me swoon!

The Country Party!

The Country {INN}troduction Blog Party will be at Country Inns and Suites in Goodlettsville, TN on Thursday evening from 7 PM until approximately 11 PM. Country Inns and Suites will provide transportation to and from the Gaylord Hotel from 6 pm until midnight and also offers the {INN}troduction Party attendees free parking during the event!The transportation will work like this: To catch the first shuttle, just be at the Cascades entrance of the Gaylord at 6PM. Miss the first one or want to grab something to eat, change clothes, whatever…the shuttle will be there every 45 minutes. So, 6:00…6:45…7:30, etc. That way you don’t have to stand around waiting. You will know when you can catch a ride. And, you can return whenever as well all the way up till Midnight…then we turn into pumpkins and the shuttle will be no more.
Heidi and Dave of Axiom PR will also be in attendance to talk with us about their tips and wishes from a Marketing Company’s point of view.
The Country Inns and Suites will have a conference room available simply for us to give out and receive swag! Nancy’s Appetizers (GIVEAWAY)

We tried something new as part of our Thanksgiving appetizers this year and they were a HUGE hit…even with the kids. As part of our menu we added Nancy’s Deli spirals as something to snack on before the main meal was served and this is what happened:
I followed the easy directions…all I had to do was thaw them out. Yeah, seriously, it was that easy! I then arranged them on a tray with pickles for all to enjoy.And within 10 minutes…
…they were GONE! I mean seriously, I got ONE. They were that good. These will definitely be on the table for Christmas and all other get-togethers that we have.
I will just have SEVERAL more boxes to refill the tray…and hopefully they will last a little longer.

The Ultimate Party Meatballs
December 1st, 2009It is that time of year when we are all looking for quick, easy and affordable appetizers, snacks, etc to feed our family and friends as they drop by to celebrate. Our house is a constant hubbub of activity from Thanksgiving until after the New Year. We have many activities, parties, and impromptu gatherings throughout the holidays…and I am always in the kitchen whipping up something to serve. Now, thanks to Ocean Spray and Heinz there is a simple and easy recipe that can be prepared quickly to serve to all of your guests. And best of all, it is versatile. I served these as a meal the other night when we had friends drop by but they could easily be used to make Meatball Subs, served as is as an appetizer…the possibilities are endless really. With just three ingredients, Ultimate Party Meatballs are bound to be a hit with your guests.
Ultimate Party Meatballs
Ingredients
* 1 14-ounce can Ocean Spray® Jellied Cranberry Sauce
* 1 12-ounce bottle Heinz® Chili Sauce
* 1 2-pound bag frozen, pre-cooked, cocktail-size meatballs
Directions
Combine sauces in a large saucepan. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring until smooth. Add meatballs. Cover and cook for 15 minutes or until meatballs are heated through, stirring occasionally.
Makes 30 appetizer servings.
Slow cooker Preparation: Place meatballs in a slow cooker. Combine sauces and pour over meatballs. Cover and cook 4 hours on HIGH.
