What A Jewel!

When Bric lived in San Diego he was known to hang out in coffee shops…a LOT. The coffee shops and such out there would have singers with their guitars playing and everyone would just hang out, get to know one another and well, drink coffee I guess. Bric was able to meet some interesting people in those days. One of those people was Jewel. She wasn’t a well-known then. She was just starting to try to make her music career work for her, she was still single and hadn’t even met her husband to be. And of course Bric hadn’t yet met the best thing that ever happened to him…LOL. I do think he had a bit of a crush on her, possibly he still does.  But, I think it is neat that Bric used to hang out with her some and knew her before she was famous. He has always talked about how genuinely sweet she is and has always loved to hear her sing.

So, when I heard about the  Pampers “Millions of Beautiful Morning Moments Celebration,”and that Jewel was one of their spokesmoms I had to check it out. Such a precious video featuring Jewel and moments with her son, Kase. It just makes you smile while watching it. And makes me miss my kids being babies. I am neither a morning person or a night owl…I am both. I love early mornings, and I love late nights. I think those two times of the day are the best. But mornings…the fresh awakenings, the renewal, a new beginning each morning, fresh perspectives, and COFFEE might be just my most favorite.

Pampers and beloved singer, songwriter, children’s book author and new mom, Jewel, unites to pay tribute to the “Millions of Beautiful Morning Moments” shared between parents and their babies. Whether it’s shown by a morning “giggle fest,” baby’s silly bed head, a giant snuggle hug, or a whimsical song, Pampers recognizes that all of these moments are expressions of sheer joy that parents feel in the morning with their baby. The “Millions of Beautiful Morning Moments” campaign pays tribute to the love that parents feel when reunited in the waking hours of the day with their little ones.

In a new exclusive music video, Jewel and Pampers pay homage to the beautiful morning moments shared between parents and their babies. From storytime and sing-alongs to feeding horses and spending time with daddy, the video captures Jewel’s favorite beautiful morning moments with her son, Kase. With background music from Jewel’s most recent children’s album, “The Merry Goes ‘Round”, this performance of the popular children’s song “The Green Grass Grows All Around” is sure to enhance beautiful mornings with baby all the time!

I love paying-it-forward. It makes my heart feel good. Have you ever paid it forward in the drive through, at the grocery store, or just by doing a kindness to a neighbor? Pampers has a program called Miracle Missions where they are asking everyone across the country to pay-it-forward.

Everyone can easily participate in the Miracle Missions program.  At Pampers Facebook page (Facebook.com/Pampers), they are asking everyone across the country to pay-it-forward and offer support to an expectant mother with a gift or surprise gesture.  Once more than 2,500 people pledge on the Pampers Facebook page that they have achieved this mission, Pampers will respond by giving baby showers to expectant mothers nationwide just in time for Mother’s Day. And it doesn’t stop there, Pampers will issue different missions throughout the entire year to celebrate all aspects of parenthood, and with the help of parents, family and friends, they hope to touch the lives of every baby born in the next year.

Just by running some of his errands, covering his late meeting at work or helping him out with some chores at home can make room for some precious quality time with his little miracle. If Pampers gets 4,000 commitments to complete the mission, Pampers will throw special Father’s Day cook-outs for dads and babies across the country designed to give dads and their babies valuable bonding time. It took me a few days but I am finally getting around to announcing the winner of the $50 giftcard thanks to Pampers and the Little Miracle Mission.
