I love Christmas more than any other time of the year. It is the one time of the year that I don’t mind going shopping. I like to people watch, look at all the decorations and just feel all of the excitement in the air. The hustle and bustle of people in a rush, folks searching for that perfect gift. Juicy Juice and Cars 2

Car 2 was released!! Cars 2 was released!!!

I Loved the movie Cars and have been really looking forward to seeing Cars 2. We are piling up in front of the TV, have our Juicy Juice and Popcorn ready as well as the Raisinets. Who is your favorite Cars character? I have to say, mine is Tow Mater. On a side-note, my kids used to go to the skating rink in the next town over every Friday night. Well, there was this one kid that also went and he just looks like Mater. Talked like him too. It was so cool, everyone eventually just started calling him Mater and to this day I can’t even remember his real name, just that everyone called him Mater.

Also,  you should check out the Spy School on Juicy Juice’s website, http://www.juicyjuice.com/Spy-School/, where your kids can play spy games and even get their own spy name (mine is Delia Delight, I just love name generators!). Ok, so you might end up playing too.

Happy New School Year! (GIVEAWAY)

Twas the night before school started, when all through the town, the parents were cheering… It was a riotous sound! By 8, kids were washed and tucked into bed… Where memories of homework filled them with dread! New pencils, new folders, new notebooks too! New teachers, new friends…Their anxiety grew! The parents just giggled when they learned of this fright-and shouted upstairs: Go To Bed! It’s A School Night!!

Happy New School Year

Tomorrow is the first day of school here locally. Of course since I homeschool Tate, we have been back for awhile, but the public schools head to class tomorrow. We have a full-load this year including American History, Chemistry and Calculus. I have no idea how all this Calculus mess is going to go, it all looks like a foreign subject to me but at least Tate has some kinda clue what is going on and needs little help from me. Our goal is for him to take the SAT next year and then take some college classes next fall. He will only be 15 then and I am just hoping it was the right decision to make.

I remember when my kids first went to school. What a bittersweet day. I hated to see them head into that big school on that very first day but I was thrilled that they were going to have their minds opened and expanded. I love to read and was so excited when they were learning, we could then have the biggest adventures through books each and every night.
