OhhhhMyStinkinHeck! I can’t say enough how good these are. Recently I was sent some chocolate shavings by Chupon Chocolate. For a couple of days they sat there and taunted me. I mean really, how can you just let chocolate sit there?? Every time I would walk past them they would scream at me “Drink me, You know you want to!” But I also knew I wanted to make something with them. Something to satisfy my love of sweets. And my love of chocolate. After pondering it a day or two I decided on cookies.

Chupon Mocha Chocolate Cookies

After making the cookies and icing about half of them I decided they would also make fabulous whoopie pies, and that is what happened to the other half.

Chupon Mocha Chocolate Whoopie Pies

I can’t quit eating these. Seriously. I am probably going to gain 500 pounds between now and Christmas.

Ingredients for Chupon Mocha Chocolate cookies

These are really easy to make. Simply mix the cake mix, butter flavored crisco and eggs.

Warm milk in microwave for 30 seconds, add the Chupon Mocha, mix well.

Add into batter. The batter is going to be pretty thick. That is the way it is supposed to be.

Bake for 8-10 minutes on 350 degrees.

Gather up the ingredients for the icing. I love this icing! Of course I love marshmallow cream alone so of course this is going to be one of my favorites.

add marshmallow icing

Ice the cookies

sprinkle with Chupon Mocha Chocolate shavings

 And sprinkle with chocolate shavings.

Or, slap a bunch of icing in the middle of two cookies and you have a whoopie pie!

CHUPON MOCHA COOKIES OR WHOOPIE PIES

1 chocolate cake mix

1/2 cup butter-flavored shortening

2 eggs

3 Tablespoons milk

3 Tablespoons Chupon Mocha Chocolate

Preheat oven to 350. Combine cake mix, eggs, shortening in the bowl of a heavy-duty mixer and mix until well combined. Warm milk in a mug in the microwave for 30 seconds and add chocolate, mixing well. Add the chocolate milk to the dough and mix well. Drop dough by the tablespoon onto a baking sheet and bake for about 8-10 minutes or until the cookies appear done but are still soft in the center. Do not over-bake. In my oven 8 minutes is perfect.

ICING

1/4 cup (1/2 stick) margarine or butter, softened

1 jar (7 oz.) Marshmallow Creme

1 tsp. vanilla

1 pkg. (16 oz.) powdered sugar

1 to 2 Tbsp. milk, divided

Place margarine, marshmallow creme and vanilla in small bowl; beat on medium speed until well blended. Gradually add sugar, beating after each addition until well blended. Mix in 1 Tbsp. of the milk. Add remaining 1 Tbsp. milk if necessary for desired spreading consistency. I only needed to use one tablespoon of milk because I wanted mine to be a little on the thicker side.

AND, thanks to the great folks at Chupon, one of you lucky folks are going to win a 3-pack sampler!

Coffee is a big deal in my house. We love to go to that big name coffee place and grab a specialty coffee but gosh darn it, there isn’t one close by and they are expensive. So, we decided to work on making some of our favorites at home using our Keurig and Green Mountain Coffees NEW Barista Prima Coffeehouse K-Cup portion packs.

Keurig

We have had a little too much fun doing so. I brought you our homemade version of a Pumpkin Spiced Latte HERE. Today, we are making a Salted Caramel Mocha Latte! It just happens to be my favorite. Coffee, Caramel and Chocolate, how can you go wrong?

Salted Caramel Mocha Latte

salted caramel mocha latte ingredients

Ingredients:

1 cup milk, steamed
1 cup very strong coffee (I used Green Mountain Coffees NEW Barista Prima Coffeehouse K-Cup Italian Roast but any of the stronger blends will work)
1 tablespoon cocoa powder
2 tablespoons of sugar
2 and 1/2 tablespoons caramel coffee syrup (I bought mine at our local dollar store. Feel free to adjust to your taste)
Whipped cream
Caramel Sauce
1/8 teaspoon sea salt or kosher salt

Directions:

Prepare your Keurig and brew 1 cup of coffee

In a pot, heat up one cup of milk until it is steaming. Froth the milk with a wire whisk or a blender until it is nice and foamy.

~If you use a blender…make sure you put your lid on good. I had a BIG mess. LOL~

In your coffee cup, mix together the prepared coffee, cocoa powder, sugar, and caramel coffee syrup until the sugar and cocoa powder are dissolved and there are no lumps. Pour the milk foam over the top of the coffee/mocha mixture and stir. Top with whipped cream, a generous drizzle of caramel sauce, and your pinch of salt. Another way you can play with this recipe…since I do not liked whipped cream on top of mine I simply added the caramel sauce and salt into my cup and mixed it up.  DE-lic-ious!! Think I will go have another.

How easy is that? Yep, simple! And delicious! And costs so much less than visiting a coffee-shop!

Oh My Goodness! I have been Shock’ed! And I LOVE it!

Ever heard of Shock Coffee? Ohhh my. You HAVE to go try it.

Coffee is sacred in my house. Mr. Technosavy, he is a bear before coffee hits his body. Me, I am a zombie. Shock Coffee has an energy blend that has 50% more caffeine than regular coffee and they also have an Organic blend for those of you that don’t roll over as a zombie, or a bear, or a total grump…and just like a cup of good coffee.

Triple Mocha or Triple Latte:

Shock Coffee Drinks(tm) deliver you the best tasting ready-to-drink coffee beverages in the world, packed in the coolest looking cans around. Our Triple Mocha & Triple Latte will most certainly get your rocks off…we’re talking up to 50% more caffeine than other gourmet coffee’s.  Oh My Gosh, I could drink the whole case in a day. The Mocha…Yummm. Just enough chocolate, and Exactly enough Coffee! The Latte…PERFECTION! Golly these things are good…and addictive…and oh, speaking of which, I need to go order a case. Be right back. Oh, sorry, you were waiting to hear more….

Energy Blend:

Whether you want to cram more stuff in your brain or add more hours to your day, you need some SHOCK therapy. SHOCK is the most potent, butt-kicking blend of coffee beans ever assembled. Nothing but premium beans, naturally loaded with over 50% MORE CAFFEINE than other gourmet coffees. Admit it. Sleep is overrated. So brew up some SHOCK and crank it up a notch. I LOVE this stuff! Oh how I love it. It gives me some Go-Go. I like Go-Go. And yes, sleep is over-rated in my life so all the go-go I can get…I will take.  It is also smooth, which gets MAJOR Kudos in my book. I do not like a coffee with a bitter after taste.  If you need a little more go in your day…this is the stuff for you…I would share, but well…NOT. I love mine too much to share and I have to turn Mr. Techno into a real human every morning.

Organic Blend:

Shock “Organic Blend” is 100% Arabica, 100% Organic and Fair Trade.  Taste this stuff, it’s awesome!  Each bag is nitrogen flushed which keeps the oxygen out which keeps your coffee fresh.  Each bag will make one to two pots of coffee.  Fractional packs are good because you use them in one to two days versus those bigger bags of coffee you buy that take a week or two to finish.  In other words fractional packs are the freshest way to go.  The Organic Blend has a VERY smooth taste. It is really some of the best coffee I have ever had. For your daily cup when that extra kick isn’t needed, this is absolutely the way to go!

Some of their other products that you should try….

Shock-A-Lots®. Ahem, here we go…Chocolate covered, candy-coated, hyper-caffeinated, Shock coffee beans. That’s a mouthful. And, eating a mouthful of these is about the equivalent of putting two cups of coffee in your mouth. No time to brew coffee? On the run? Ready for a workout? Here ya go! And the best part is…these are way tastier (no lie) than ANY OTHER CHOCOLATE COVERED COFFEE BEAN YOU’VE EVER HAD…They REALLY, REALLY are. I have had several different types of chocolate covered coffee beans, and these surpass any ever!

Great mugs, cool shirts, crazy hats. I love it all ALMOSTas much as I love their drinks and coffees. You really should take a few and check out Shock Coffee. Once you have been Shock’ed, you will never want to go back to that ol’ grocery store stuff. Seriously. Yes, seriously. And if you need a chuckle…read their FAQ page. I giggle every time, these guys are hilarious!
