Last weekend we found ourselves that the Apple Festival. A festival held each year in Ellijay, GA that has tons of craftsmen in all kinds of different areas. As we wandered around taking in all the sites Bric and I found ourselves in front of a booth, manned by a husband and wife team selling their line of sauces. They were such a fun couple that we were both immediately enthralled with their wit along with the delicious sauces that they make. I mean really, anyone who names their line of sauces Smack Yo Mama has to be fun to be around.

After tasting a sample of all of their different sauces we settled on the Big Kahuna Polynesian Sauce. Bric would have loved it if I would have given in and let him bring home one of the hot ones but there was NO WAY! I just can’t handle things with that much fire in them. He of course was ooh’in and ahh’in and telling me what great wings it would make and all that mess. And then when I found out one he wanted was called the WidowMaker and the other was called ToxicWaste I really put a halt to that line of thinking.

WidowMaker? Really??

I don’t think so!

I need him around a few more years to pay off all the bills and to make sure his life insurance is fully vested. Ok, so I WANT him around many more years too.

Anyway, as soon as we got home we decided that we were having grilled chicken basted in the Big Kahuna Polynesian Sauce:

OhMyStinkinHeck!!!

This stuff is FABULOUS. We were all ooh’in and ahh’in with every bite and knew we had made the right decision. Now I just wish I had bought several bottles. Ok, so I really wish it came in gallon jugs.

If you visit the Smack Yo Mama website, make sure to read the FAQ section! You will see just what I mean when I say that they are a fun couple. You will immediately get a sense of their wit and humor. They also have a recipe section that you might want to check out.

I was in no way compensated for this post. I even bought the bottle of SmackYoMama that was used to facilitate this post! Cause you know, they really have no idea who I am at SmackYoMama.
