French's Logo

Mustard holds a special place in my heart.

It is my FAVORITE condiment.

Shhh, don’t tell but I hate mayonnaise so when I make a sandwich, mine always has mustard on it. And it has to be French’s. Ohhhh my tangy friend how I love thee.

It is also an integral part of my all time favorite breakfast:

sausage biscuit with mustard

Yep, a sausage biscuit with mustard!

Hey now…don’t knock it till you try it.

My friend Christy and I were on a road trip when she first discovered just how delicious it is. She thought I was insane when I told her to ask for mustard the first morning I ordered a sausage biscuit. Then she tried it and got hooked for life.

I use mustard in my potato salad.

baked beans with mustard

In my baked beans.

And so many other foods and recipes that if I go on we are going to be here all day.

But it isn’t just yellow mustard:

mustard

Honey Mustard, great on chicken nuggets. Spicy brown mustard, perfect with corned beef. Dijon Mustard, fabulous on baked chicken.

And one of my all time favorite recipes using mustard?

Sloppy Joes!

Throw everything together.

French's Sloppy Joes

Eat and Enjoy!

They are so easy and delicious, two of my favorite attributes!

And French’s has the best Sloppy Joe recipe, you just have to try it!!

These never last long in my house, they are so much better than any sloppy joe you can make with canned sauce and they are so easy!!

So, what is YOUR favorite way to use mustard?

“French’s supplied me with samples to help facilitate this post. But I really have always used French’s mustard because it truly is my favorite. And even though you may think I have lost my mind by putting mustard on a sausage biscuit, you should try it. I have been eating mine that way since I was a very young child. Cause that is the way my granddaddy always fixed them for me. I never knew it wasn’t normal until I became an adult and people would look at me like I had lost my mind.”

Change of Plans

I am soooo excited!! On January 8th, 2011 the next Walmart/P&G movie will hit the air!! You are going to LOVE this movie. It has extra special meaning to me for many different reasons…one of which is the fact that I had the privilege of being on the set while part of it was being filmed. I got to meet the actors and actresses along with a ton of the behind the scenes people. It was the trip of a lifetime and one that I will never forget.

“Change of Plans” is a humorous and heartwarming story that shows us just how fulfilling life can be when you look past your own plans and invest a little in the lives of others. You know…give back a little.

Up to this point, Sally Danville’s life has played out just as she hoped it would.  As a beautiful and free-spirited musician, she and her fighter-pilot husband, Jason, live life on the go, free of domestic responsibilities.  But with a single phone call from Child & Family Services case worker, Dorothy (Phylicia Rashad, “The Cosby Show”), she learns that things don’t always go according to plan.  Sally (Brooke White, “American Idol”) is met with the news that her best friend from college has died in a tragic accident on a Peace Corps mission and has named Sally the legal guardian of her four kids – 3 of them adopted from third-world countries.  Now Sally and Jason (Joe Flanigan, “Stargate Atlantis”) must quickly learn to parent this instant family and help the kids deal with the culture clash of life in America.

While I was in Toronto on the set of “Change of Plans” Brooke White had a moment to talk to me about the movie :

As with “The Jensen Project” and “A Walk in My Shoes” music mogul Randy Jackson produced the soundtrack for “Change of Plans” with tracks from some of today’s hottest artists including Brooke White!

So…grab a blanket, grab the popcorn and tune in on January 8th at 8/7 c on FOX to watch “Change of Plans”!

Thanks to Walmart and P&G you can enter to win a “Change of Plans” viewing kit that includes the DVD/CD soundtrack bundle! a “Change of Plans” fleece blanket as well as all the P&G/Walmart family movies to date.
