Ok, I am going to come clean, literally. I am ashamed to show you this but in full disclosure I will. It is BAD. You might want to put on some cheap ray ban sunglasses to prepare for the eye-sore. And Please, don’t judge too harshly but with everything going on things just get out of hand on occasion and this is what happens:

Get that look off your face! I warned you it was bad. And you said you wouldn’t judge.

Told you it was bad. And I have tried several ways to clean it. Then when it didn’t work stuff just got more stuck on. And then cooked on. And became a bigger mess than I had time to clean most days. Usually I would use a magic eraser, which works ok but still left some baked on stuff behind that just continued to get worse. None of the commercial products have ever worked and they tend to be on the expensive side. So, after some research I found that some folks said baking soda works wonders. Well, let’s see what happens:

All you need is some hot soapy water in a bowl, a towel and some baking soda.
Fill a bowl with some hot water and some dish detergent.

Sprinkle the baking soda all over the stove top. Be generous, don’t hold back.

Dip your towel in the bowl of hot soapy water and then squeeze out about half of it. You want it to be soggy. Place the towel over the stove top and let it sit for about 20 minutes. After the 20 minutes is up remove the towel and use it to scrub the stove top. Don’t get me wrong, this does work but if yours looks as bad as mine it is going to take a little elbow grease. And as you scrub you may need to add some more baking soda. But look what happens if you just keep at it:

After I was done I had to wipe it down again to get all the residue off and then I sprayed it with Windex and shined it. Doesn’t it look great? Soooo much better!!
