Summer time is here! And we are feeling the heat.

Our air conditioning unit decided to bite the dust just as 90 degree temperatures hit our area and let me tell you, I am SPOILED to the air condition. I think it just happens to be the best thing ever.

Because we have no air at the moment we are doing a lot of cooking on the grill.

It keeps from heating the house up any more than it already is.

Every year at Thanksgiving we inject our turkey with a butter creole sauce and deep fry it. It is the number one way that this family likes turkey cooked. So when I heard about French’s new Flavor Infusers I couldn’t wait to try them!!

See, when you infuse or inject meat it distributes the flavor throughout the whole thing instead of just being basted on the outside. It also makes it so moist!

I took a pork loin and infused it with the Caribbean Jerk.

See those dark streaks and spots? That is little bits of deliciousness infused right into the meat!

And oh my gosh, it is so good. I wish you were here to smell and taste it! All the flavors are fabulous, there wasn’t a one that we didn’t like. I am not sure I could pick a favorite, they are really all very different but fabulous all the same. If you have never tried infusing meat with flavors that you love, I HIGHLY recommend it. I have been a Mother for 22 years. Saying that out loud just seems absurd to me. It is so hard to fathom that I have a 22 year old and a 15 year old child. Think of the number of loads of laundry I have done through the years. And the mountains of dishes.
