THIS CONTEST IS CLOSED !!!

Olivia is Nickelodeon’s hit new series for Preschoolers. Olivia believes she can do anything – she’s a 6¾-year-old girl (well, girl pig that is) with limitless energy and lots of big ideas. And now she has her first full-length DVD. Olivia faces typical challenges that many preschoolers face. OLIVIA features a never seen before episode and three new-to-DVD episodes, along with an exclusive Olivia Photo Gallery introducing Olivia and all her friends. Olivia’s world is created in CG animation, giving the show a 3-D look and feel to entertain your child for hour after hour.
Very young children are innately playful and imaginative. They sing and paint and dance with abandon and Olivia is just like them. She moves in and out of fantasy and reality, imagining herself as a super hero, a pop star, or a mommy.
Created by Nickelodeon Home Entertainment and distributed by Paramount Home Entertainment, OLIVIA was available on August 11, 2009, for the suggested retail price of $16.99.
Want to learn more about Olivia? Visit her page on Nick Jr. where you’ll find free printables, recipes, crafts, and games.
Synopses
Olivia Acts Out: It’s time for the annual school play, but Olivia’s stuck playing the part of “Cow #2,” while Francine lands the starring role. It’s up to Olivia to make the most of her small part. With a little help from Julian, she choreographs a climactic “mooove” for herself and has the crowd on their feet.
Olivia Plays Piano: Olivia sees herself as a great concert pianist, though her piano teacher thinks she needs a little more practice. But when her little brother Ian begins taking his own piano lessons – and turns out to be pretty good – Olivia isn’t sure if there’s room for two prodigies in the family.
Olivia Trains Her Cat: When Olivia’s class holds a pet talent show, nobody can beat Francine’s amazingly talented cat Gwendolyn. Olivia’s lethargic cat Edwin, who barely moves, suddenly goes missing. Olivia then fancies herself a cat detective as she tracks down the missing cat.
Olivia Packs Up: Tired of having to share with her brother Ian, Olivia sets out on a trip around the block in search of a place free from little brothers. She imagines herself crossing a vast desert by camel – which isn’t all it’s cracked up to be – and eventually decides that having a little brother might not be so bad after all.
*The first OLIVIA picture book by Ian Falconer was published in 2000 to rave reviews. Since that time, Falconer has been the recipient of numerous awards and the Simon & Shuster book series has sold an impressive six million copies worldwide in 20 languages.

TIME’S UP!!
Check back soon for a Winner!
Congratulations Jill W!
A week or so ago I received a Custom Magnetic Spice Rack. Ohhh what a joy! As soon as the box arrived I had to tear into it right away, organize all of my spices and get it installed. I was like a kid in a candy store. I have always wanted one of these and it was WAY better than I ever expected.
Here is Mr. Technosavy installing the magnetic sheet. The company recommends using a J-roller, but since we didn’t have one we improvised with a rolling pin (yes, my walls are copper colored and my paper towel holder should have been moved). The installation process is quick and easy. The hardest part is deciding where you want it installed.
Here is a close-up of my finished project. You can choose from several different styles of tins: some square, some round. Clear lids so you can see your spices or solid lids so you don’t have to. You can get clear labels, solid labels, no labels, standard labels or customized labels. And there are many different fonts to choose from. The standard set has all the most commonly used spices available and will cover the needs of most people. Me, I need to order me some more tins and a set of customized labels next time to go with all of my custom blended spices. What you see is the Bravada set, standard labels, with a magnetic sheet. I got the clear lids (because I wanted to be able to see my spices and if I needed to buy more at just a glance) and I got the standard label set.
This is a picture of mine finished. I love it! Everyone has had to come and take a peek and my Mom especially wants one to go in her kitchen now. I think that is what she will get for Christmas this year. My neighbor through the woods is also enamored with it and plans to order one for herself. And I know that my sister is going to be so jealous, I haven’t even told her about it yet.
If you are interested in ordering a set for yourself there are several things that you will need to decide. 1.) Where do you want it? 2.) What shape and size of tins do you need and how many? 3.) Do you want the magnetic sheet, the magnetic strip or the magnetic rounds (the rounds are great for people with NO space, they can then put the tins on their refrigerator)? 4.) What type of labels and what font?
Custom Magnetic Spice Racks also has a idea section that can help you decide some of these question or give you ideas to do something totally different. There are a few in there that I absolutely love. At the top, just under the navigation bar on their website you will see other options to choose, they are in red and can be a little hard to see if you aren’t looking so browse through and look close, you will see some amazing projects.
Custom Magnetic Spice Racks also has the most amazing customer service I have encountered in a long time. There were some decisions that I just couldn’t make on my own so after talking with Heidi I just asked her to make the decisions for me and send me what she thought I needed based on her knowledge of her products. She was right on the money where I was concerned and sent exactly what I had envisioned. She is great in helping in any way that she can, and so nice about it.
Custom Magnetic Spice Racks has generously offered to give one of you lucky readers a set of your own.
The winner will receive a12-piece Bravada Starter Set with your choice of precut magnetic rounds, standard magnetic strip or a 8″ X 24″ magnetic sheet.
How to enter:
Visit Custom Magnetic Spice Racks and then leave me a comment telling me what you like, where you would put it, how you would customize it, what your most unusual spice is…heck, just tell me anything you want to tell me after you visit Customized Magnetic Spice Racks.
You can earn extra entries by a.) blogging about this contest and linking back here = 2 extra entries b.) stumble this post = 1 extra entry c.) subscribe to my feed = 1 extra entry (please leave all extra entries in a separate comment)
All entries must be received by Nov. 10, 2008 at 5 PM EST. US residents only. Winner will be selected randomly. Winner will have 3 days to respond before another winner will be selected.

That is my saying today. And I seem to be saying it alot. I messed up one of my posts and had to call in some back-up to fix it…otherwise, you wouldn’t be able to read it and know that it was a cool new contest…and you wouldn’t have know how to enter. Thanks again Sassy!
And of all things…I ran out of Post-It notes. Yeah, how crazy is that? The Post-It Place runs out of Post-It notes. So, I had to make a flying dash to the store to get some, so I can make sure everyone who has entered to win the Toss and Chop has a chance. Oh, and the Cup of Luck…it has tuned into a Pot of Luck. Not everyone will fit in the cup.
I have also been working on the halloween bags for all 4 of my trick-or-treaters that will come. I lost the bags I had bought. Bought the wrong kind of hot chocolate to go with their ghost poop.
And Sassy keeps having to fix all kinds of things on this poor ol blog of mine. I would be so lost without her. I hope you all have a Sassy in your lives to fix your messes.
