While I was gallivanting about the Buford Hwy Farmers Market I saw a display of Ritter Sport bars. I have never seen them locally but knew immediately I had to bring a bar home for Bric. He LOVES sweets and the fact that they had an espresso flavored bar cinched the deal. Because his first love is anything coffee.

As I was unloading my treasures that is the first thing Bric spotted…and immediately opened. He was in instant love and told me “You have GOT to try this!”

chocolate espresso bar

Ohhhh, sweet heaven above. Rich, decadent and smooth. Perfect espresso flavor. I have never had chocolate that good in my life. We had to make ourselves quit eating this stuff. It is addictive!

They have all kinds of different flavors, I wish I had gotten more. Guess I am going to be taking another trip to Atlanta just for Ritter Sport bars because I don’t think my life would be complete or fulfilled without having more. Now, Ritter Sport has no clue who I am or that I am talking about them, I just HAD to share this with you because I want your life to be complete and fulfilled as well…and without ever trying it, I am telling you, you are seriously missing out!!

If you have tried Ritter Sport I would love to hear what flavors you like…I need to get my list together for when I go back for more!

THIS CONTEST IS NOW CLOSED!!!

Father’s Day is quickly approaching. And in honor of that I am having a special giveaway. All the men in my life LOVE their coffee. I mean REALLY love it. Before my Dad passed away he thankfully had even taught my daughter how to make coffee. She might have been 8 or so then, but she could make his coffee just like he wanted it. Me, not so much. Coffee making isn’t my strong point. So, a coffee maker like this…PERFECT for people like me! Just add water, drop in a pod, and mash the button. Can’t get any easier than that!

Here is what I am giving away:

An Espresso Maker:ess_c100rs_1_s (Approx $250 value)

A Milk Frother:frother(Approx $100 value)

(no pods are included)

Need a pick me up but don’t want a hot cup of coffee on those warm days??? Try these!

CAPPUCCINO BROWNIES

8 ounces good-quality bittersweet chocolate (not unsweetened)
1 cup walnuts
1-1/2 sticks unsalted butter
2 TBSP. instant espresso powder (I just grind my beans really, really fine)
1 TBSP. boiling water
1-1/2 cups sugar
2 tsps. vanilla
4 large eggs
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 tsps. salt

Preheat your oven to 350F. Butter and flour a 13 X 9 inch baking pan. Chop the chocolate and the walnuts and cut butter into pieces. In a cup, dissolve the espresso powder into the boiling water. Set a metal bowl over a saucepan of barely simmering water, melt chocolate and butter with espresso mixture, stirring until smooth. Remove bowl from the heat and cool the mixture until it is lukewarm. Stir in sugar and vanilla. Stir in eggs one at a time, stirring well after each addition, and stir in flour and salt until just combined. Stir in Walnuts. Pour batter into baking pan and smooth top. Bake in the middle of oven for 22 to 25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.

As most of you know we LOVE our coffee here. We have been trying out the Nespresso Essenza espresso machine. We LOVE it! It uses capsules so there is no measuring involved which makes it great for me. The taste is great and you can choose the strength that you desire. The milk frother is sold seperately which is a little inconvenient but worth it. All in all it makes for a great home system but the price may be a concern to some.  If you are in the market for an espresso machine you can’t beat the convenience and the quality of the Essenza! For the capsules you can order as needed or you can join the Nepresso Club so that they are automatically shipped on a regular basis. There are also several styles and colors to match any kitchen decor. Not handhelds but a great addition to any home.

Great Taste, Great Product and Convenient to boot.
