Today was a great day…except for the part where I realized that I had forgotten my camera. I NEVER leave home without my camera, till today.

Every year a small town east of us has what is know as The Apple Festival. It is a large festival that celebrates the North Georgia Apple season with arts, crafts and tons of good food. Apple Dumplings, Funnel Cakes, Apple Cider (hot or cold) among many other sweet treats featuring apples. After a slow (read lazy) start this morning Bric and I decided that he and I would go…alone. That in itself is a rare treat these days. We are usually accompanied by a kid, or one of us is running off to hear and yonder while the other has totally different plans.

We met a lot of great people, bought several treats and there is one in particular that I can’t wait to tell ya’ll about! We tasted a small sampling and knew right off that we had to come home with a bottle that lasted all of about an hour once it got here. Hopefully I can get a post up in a day or two telling you about this delicious treat that you just HAVE to try for yourself.

The only thing that could have made this day any better is getting Wicked tickets. Everyone has been talking about the show and I am just dying to see it. If you have seen it for yourself I would love to hear what you thought about it.
