Thanksgiving is coming up quickly. That means lots of Family, lots of Food, lots of Thanks given from our Hearts. What do you have to be truly thankful for this year, besides the normal stuff?
Here is my list of the not so normal stuff:
That I can still walk. Seriously, remember that morning several months ago that I got up and couldn’t walk and I laid in the floor for hours, and peed on myself, and then my Hero came to my rescue? I am seriously thankful that I can walk. Oh, and that I have a great Chiropractor.
That I haven’t gone to jail for murdering one of my kids, there are days when it could seriously be possible. This mostly applies to Smartypants but The Princess gets in on the action occasionally. And recently…it seems to be more often than not. (Don’t tell em, but they are pretty good kids, they just like to mash the right buttons).
That Smartypants hasn’t killed himself or blown my house up with some strange concoction that he has made, with a hammer or any other tool for that matter. You know, since he has a tendency to do stuff like that, and just recently got staples out of his head from hitting himself with the claw end of a hammer.
That for the moment I am not having to try to figure out how to open any more coconuts that some well-meaning friend brought back from Florida and gave to Smartypants…because a.) see above, it takes tools…b.) them suckers are really really hard to get into .
That I no longer have house guests. I am thankful that we were able to help them for as long as we did, but whew, I was sure glad to see tail lights. Tail lights can be a really, really good thing.
That there is such a thing as Phentermine because I am going to need it. I ate a ton of pecans recently and would eat a ton more if I hadn’t already eaten them all. I have a ton of stuff to cook in the very near future and well, since we all know that I have no self-control I am sure that I will be blown up to full capacity in no time.
That I have all of you guys to read my total non-sense and play all my reindeer games with. So, now will you tell me what you are going to be Thankful for this year?
