When Bric lived in San Diego he was known to hang out in coffee shops…a LOT. The coffee shops and such out there would have singers with their guitars playing and everyone would just hang out, get to know one another and well, drink coffee I guess. Bric was able to meet some interesting people in those days. One of those people was Jewel. She wasn’t a well-known then. She was just starting to try to make her music career work for her, she was still single and hadn’t even met her husband to be. And of course Bric hadn’t yet met the best thing that ever happened to him…LOL. I do think he had a bit of a crush on her, possibly he still does.  But, I think it is neat that Bric used to hang out with her some and knew her before she was famous. He has always talked about how genuinely sweet she is and has always loved to hear her sing.

Pampers and Jewel with son

So, when I heard about the  Pampers “Millions of Beautiful Morning Moments Celebration,”and that Jewel was one of their spokesmoms I had to check it out. Such a precious video featuring Jewel and moments with her son, Kase. It just makes you smile while watching it. And makes me miss my kids being babies. I am neither a morning person or a night owl…I am both. I love early mornings, and I love late nights. I think those two times of the day are the best. But mornings…the fresh awakenings, the renewal, a new beginning each morning, fresh perspectives, and COFFEE might be just my most favorite.

Pampers and beloved singer, songwriter, children’s book author and new mom, Jewel, unites to pay tribute to the “Millions of Beautiful Morning Moments” shared between parents and their babies. Whether it’s shown by a morning “giggle fest,” baby’s silly bed head, a giant snuggle hug, or a whimsical song, Pampers recognizes that all of these moments are expressions of sheer joy that parents feel in the morning with their baby. The “Millions of Beautiful Morning Moments” campaign pays tribute to the love that parents feel when reunited in the waking hours of the day with their little ones.

In a new exclusive music video, Jewel and Pampers pay homage to the beautiful morning moments shared between parents and their babies. From storytime and sing-alongs to feeding horses and spending time with daddy, the video captures Jewel’s favorite beautiful morning moments with her son, Kase. With background music from Jewel’s most recent children’s album, “The Merry Goes ‘Round”, this performance of the popular children’s song “The Green Grass Grows All Around” is sure to enhance beautiful mornings with baby all the time!

Pampers

For years now we have all relied on Pampers to keep our children’s bums dry. But it goes further than that. Pampers has long been a huge supporter of programs and events that help children reach goals and dreams. One of the major ones…the Olympics! I have a young friend who has dreams of competing in the Women’s boxing event at the Olympics. I see how hard it is for her to reach each milestone necessary to one day achieve her dream…and by supporting companies that have faith in the hopes and dreams of our young ones, you are supporting them as well.

Miracle_Shower_Signage_and_Gifts

I love paying-it-forward. It makes my heart feel good. Have you ever paid it forward in the drive through, at the grocery store, or just by doing a kindness to a neighbor? Pampers has a program called Miracle Missions where they are asking everyone across the country to pay-it-forward.

Everyone can easily participate in the Miracle Missions program.  At Pampers Facebook page (Facebook.com/Pampers), they are asking everyone across the country to pay-it-forward and offer support to an expectant mother with a gift or surprise gesture.  Once more than 2,500 people pledge on the Pampers Facebook page that they have achieved this mission, Pampers will respond by giving baby showers to expectant mothers nationwide just in time for Mother’s Day. And it doesn’t stop there, Pampers will issue different missions throughout the entire year to celebrate all aspects of parenthood, and with the help of parents, family and friends, they hope to touch the lives of every baby born in the next year.

For more detailed information on the Little Miracle Mission, including the kick-off where Pampers donated care packages to Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs) across the country with the help of celebs Joey Lawrence, Ali Larter, Mark Consuelos and LaLa Anthony were on-hand in New York City – go here: http://www.multivu.com/players/English/49336-Pampers-50th-Anniversary/

With Father’s Day quickly approaching, Mission #2 has been issued, should you accept it is, help make a dad’s first Father’s Day one he’ll never forget! The mission is to help give dads the time he and his baby deserve to bond as it’s so critical to his baby’s development. Just by running some of his errands, covering his late meeting at work or helping him out with some chores at home can make room for some precious quality time with his little miracle. If Pampers gets 4,000 commitments to complete the mission, Pampers will throw special Father’s Day cook-outs for dads and babies across the country designed to give dads and their babies valuable bonding time. It’ll be a day to remember.  Also, every person who commits to this mission is automatically entered into the Miracles Missions sweepstakes for a chance to win free diapers and wipes for a year!  Want to share this mission with your Twitter followers now?  Click here.

Things around here have been a little crazy lately. I have been running the roads non-stop for about 2 weeks now. Many of you have followed my adventures on Facebook and I have talked about them a little here at The Post-It Place. Several of my close friends were hit pretty hard by the recent tornadoes. I am not the type that can just sit back and watch while others are in need. So, into action I went. We gathered a group and went to Mike’s house to get trees off the house, off the fences and out of the roadways. My family was able to donate tons of deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, shampoos, etc thanks to couponing and stock-piling. Some of YOU, my readers, jumped in to help through monetary and product donations. As we were out and about delivering some of the items that we took with us it was amazing to see the impact it had on people’s lives. One friend sent a whole case of baby wipes…you would have thought the recipients had won the lottery. They were absolutely thrilled just to be able to wash off a little. Another friend sent 10 bags of dog food…which meant that some people didn’t have to worry about how they would feed that beloved part of their family for a few more days. Thanks to Pampers and a $50 gift card I was also able to take diapers to the littlest of folks impacted by the tornadoes.

It was just amazing how a little went such a long way. We didn’t set out to change the world but what we did meant the world to those that we interacted with. That is what giving and paying it forward is about…making a difference one person at a time.

Pampers shares my beliefs. And they are proving it through their “Little Miracle Mission” campaign.

Your help could inspire support for millions. Join Pampers in helping families and babies everywhere through Little Miracle Missions on Facebook. Pampers encourages you to do a small, helpful act for a friend or parent in need and share it on Facebook. Once enough people commit to a mission, Pampers will continue the support through a series of impactful pledges of their own.

Everyone can easily participate in a small way by logging on to Pampers Facebook page (Facebook.com/Pampers) by hitting ‘like’ and then going to the Miracle Missions tab and committing to Mission 1 by clicking “I Want To Pledge.”  Once more than 2,500 people pledge, Pampers will respond by giving baby showers to expectant mothers nationwide just in time for Mother’s Day.   As a side note, anyone who pledges is automatically entered to win a year’s supply worth of Pampers diapers and wipes (and that can definitely help someone in a big way!).

AMEX Gift Card

In conjunction with the “Little Miracle Mission” Pampers would like to offer a $50  American Express giftcard to one lucky The Post-It Place reader.

To ENTER: Simply share how you would Pay-It-Forward by leaving a comment below. All entries must be received by May 18th, 2011 11:59 PM EST. All entries must have a valid US mailing address.
