Christmas is quickly coming. I mean really quickly! This year has just flown by and I am sitting here wondering where I was cause I certainly wasn’t on one of the wings. I feel like it should still be mid-summer and we should be celebrating the 4th of July. I have got to start getting some of my shopping done. One of the places I love to go online is CSN Stores. I would love to re-do my kitchen. My dream is to have a cooks kitchen. Double ovens, a drop in cook top in the center of my island with a grill as well. New cabinets would be nice but I could live with painting mine. New counter tops. And most of all, a new light. The other day Bric and I were in Lowes looking at lights for the bathroom and I saw the perfect light that incorporated a pot rack into it. If not one of those I would love to have one of the enclume pot racks. They are so nice!
They even have an enclume pot rack that is a stand alone unit that incorporates a bakers rack into the design.Then I would of course have to get some great new cookware that could be shown off. The stuff I have now has been used and abused. While it has served this family well for several years, it is showing it’s age. Definitely not worthy of being showcased on enclume potracks.
I don’t think I would paint my walls though. At the moment they are a metallic copper and I am really happy with it. So many different colors work really well and it just looks cool.
…when cooking. Seriously, how well a dish turns out has a lot to do about the quality of your pots and pans. I have a decent set of pots and pans,they could even be considered professional cookware, it’s just that all my frying pans are worn slap out. My favorite one has went on strike from being overused and under appreciated. I told it that there was no way it could do that to me, but it has rebelled and said it is done. It wants a divorce.The next favorite is warped. WARPED.
I have been looking at what professional chefs use. I figure they have to stand up to the abuse. I mean, they get used ALOT. Right? Oh, and it has to be oven proof as well. I use a lot of my pots and pans on the stove top and in the oven. That may be why the one frying pan I have left is so warped….I fried it’s brain.
So, I am browsing through restaurant equipment sites looking for some new friends that are quite as warped or damaged as my current ones. Let me tell you though, it is so easy to get side-tracked by all of the restaurant supply places…they have EVERYTHING you could imagine you ever wanted for your kitchen.
