THIS GIVEAWAY HAS ENDED!!!

What a great way to share your holiday photos in a new way to family and friends this year…as a Coloring Page! I LOVE Crayola´s “Lights, Camera, Color,” the only application of its kind for kids, was created to bring online and offline creativity together to inspire kids to color and create in a whole new way! But I think I like it as much as any kid. I have been printing family photos and making my own coloring books. Coloring books that I plan to give to Grandparents, Aunts, etc. That way when all the kids are over they can all sit down and reminisce while coloring themselves and loved ones.

The kid-friendly, easy-to-use online application at Crayola.com allows you to upload digital photos and transform them into unique coloring pages, then add fun designs and pictures that turn them into totally customized creations. Specially-marked Crayola crayon boxes (48, 64, 96, 120-ct. as well as the 150-ct. Crayon Tower) will include a code that lets you print custom coloring pages. Kids and moms can try out the application for free online at Crayola.com/colorme at anytime, but a code is required to print out the personalized coloring pages. Each code found in 64-count boxes and larger is good for six months of unlimited prints. The 48-count box has a code that is good for three months of unlimited prints.

Crayola is offering you a special one-day pass so you can experience the magic of “Lights, Camera, Color” for yourselves by sharing  this code with you: PRT77F3S

To add to the online fun, kids will be able to make their own creatures using their photos with the “Body Builder” tool and their own machines with the “Gizmo Gears” application. Add these crazy creations to the “Lights, Camera, Color” one-of-a-kind coloring pages and you´ve got the ultimate coloring book because you are the star!

Here´s how kids (and ahem moms) can transform their memories into customized coloring pages:
Upload a new or existing digital photo onto the “Lights, Camera, Color” application at Crayola.com/colorme.

Print out your coloring page or save and send it to Coloring Page Maker to customize with fun graphics.

Choose a background: you can choose from several including a desert, a beach, a haunted house and more.

Add props such as a hat, mustache, wings, etc.

Select words/phrases: “Best Friends,” “Kids Only,” “All Star” to name just a few.

Save and print.

Start coloring your one-of-a-kind creation.

It really is that easy. We have printed several pages out all ready and have not had any problems using the site other than the first time I used it, I thought I was missing something…because it seemed to easy. So any age or any level of computer usage could easily navigate and create!

Crayon Town

November 1st, 2009

For this edition of our Holiday Gift Guide I want to tell you about some WILD stuff going on.

Wild Planet is taking play time to a whole new level. They have gift ideas for boys and girls of all ages and their great line of toys includes:

Spy GearTM
Outdoor AnticsTM
Fizz ‘n FindTM
Water BabiesTM
Crayon TownTM
Dodge DiscsTM
Hyper DashTM
Hyper JumpTM
Animal ScrambleTM
A Pirate’s LifeTM
SkeleflexTM

For now, I want to talk to about Crayon Town. Crayola and Wild Planet have partnered to bring three favorite preschool pastimes together: coloring, construction and creative play. A new collection of activity sets called Crayon Town puts crayons to work in new ways as kids color and build three-dimensional worlds. Kids color different scenes printed on paper mats and cardstock, then fold their masterpieces to make multi-dimensional structures, such as buildings and fences and the crayons are combined with different 3-D props to further customize the play space. A crayon transforms into a giraffe’s long neck or a tall tree trunk.

The fun doesn’t stop once the town is constructed. Kids can play in the world they create. Crayon Town sets come with all the figures, structures and crayons needed to make each 3-D environment complete. The sets are available in five different themes: Neighborhood, Horse Ranch, Airport, Zoo and Construction Site.

Features:
- Color your Scene, Build Play Pieces with your Crayons, Play in your World
- Deluxe Play Set includes Large 22 by 17 Playmat, Pop-Up Buildings, Vehicles, Figures Accessories and 4 Crayola Crayons
- Coloring Playmat Refills Available Online (Fall 2009)

Ages 4+

Consumer Notices:
WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD-Small parts. Not for children under 3 yrs.

CrayonTown made this years gift guide because of their ingenious idea to mix creativity and play. I have even enjoyed playing with Crayon Town. It will provide your child with hours of fun, all the while being creative and using their imaginations. You can also get free printable coloring mats online to go with your Crayon Town sets,  providing even more options for play. Makes a great gift for kids any age over 3 up to about 10. Of course, if they are like mine and still love to color, it doesn’t matter the age.

A sample of Crayon Town was provided for review and consideration of inclusion to the Gift Guide. No other compensation was received for this post.
