I have had my Keurig Brewer for several months now…and I love it as much today as when I first got it. It makes the perfect cup of coffee each and every time with no guess work involved. No measuring or guessing how much coffee grounds to use, no measuring or guessing how much water to use. It is wonderful.

No matter what your taste in coffee happens to be, there is a K-Cup that you will love with over 200 different varieties available. They also have teas, hot chocolates and ice teas and coffees available. We are loving the iced coffee blends since it has already been so hot this summer.

You may be asking yourself why a single cup brewer is better. The main reason for me is that I can’t make a decent pot of coffee to save my life. The Keurig saves me time, hassle, money, and sanity. That folks is why it is better for me. And it truly is a better way to enjoy a gourmet cup of coffee. Especially for folks like me that do not have a coffee shop nearby. Or if you want to save some money. Or if you just like to sit on the back porch to drink your coffee. Ok, so you get the picture…it’s just better in so many different ways.

One of my most FAVORITE things to make using my Keurig is Coffee Milkshakes. Yummmmmy!

To get started making a coffee milkshake of your own, brew a fresh cup of coffee. (I used a French Vanilla K-Cup…one of my favs!)

Once your coffee is finished brewing add 2 Tablespoons of sugar so that it can dissolve.

While your coffee is cooling, get your blender out and set up.

Measure out 3 cups of vanilla ice cream (or any flavor that you choose) and place in blender.

Add 1 cup of ice cubes

1 TBSP of Vanilla

1/3 cup of milk

And last add 1 cup of coffee

Blend all together until smooth and has the consistency of a milkshake.

HA! Now I can make you a decent cup of coffee when you come to visit. For those of you who are lost, I make HORRIBLE coffee. So much so that my husband told me that if I ever even touched the coffee pot again he would strangle me. I mean really, how many people can’t make coffee? Apparently it is my nemesis. In this edition of my Holiday Gift Guide I would like to introduce you to BRUGO:

Bikini Beani is a coffee and drink hut that serves up iced coffee and “bikini” sodas…all served by girls in their bikinis.

They have been on the news, on the radio and in the paper…and that is no small feat for a small town business. I have heard that they eventually have plans to install a “beach” and a miniature golf course among other things.

I personally can’t wait to see where this goes but I can tell you that it has cause quite a stir here in Hick Town. Bet all the men are loving it though.

CAPPUCCINO BROWNIES

8 ounces good-quality bittersweet chocolate (not unsweetened)
1 cup walnuts
1-1/2 sticks unsalted butter
2 TBSP. instant espresso powder (I just grind my beans really, really fine)
1 TBSP. boiling water
1-1/2 cups sugar
2 tsps. vanilla
4 large eggs
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 tsps. salt

Preheat your oven to 350F. Butter and flour a 13 X 9 inch baking pan. Chop the chocolate and the walnuts and cut butter into pieces. In a cup, dissolve the espresso powder into the boiling water. Set a metal bowl over a saucepan of barely simmering water, melt chocolate and butter with espresso mixture, stirring until smooth. Remove bowl from the heat and cool the mixture until it is lukewarm. Stir in sugar and vanilla. Stir in eggs one at a time, stirring well after each addition, and stir in flour and salt until just combined. Stir in Walnuts. Pour batter into baking pan and smooth top. Bake in the middle of oven for 22 to 25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
