Well, I made it. I hit the big 40 today. It has been a relatively quiet day, thank goodness. My Mom and I went to breakfast this morning. We decided on Shoney’s Breakfast Bar because she isn’t going to be able to eat again for awhile. She is having surgery on Friday so we decided it best to stuff her as full as we could get her. I found out that my sister got me these:

So excited. They were back-ordered but I should be receiving them soon and I can’t wait to wear them and have Happy Feet.
I didn’t ask for anything this year. I got my notebook computer last year and my camera earlier this year so there wasn’t really anything that I needed, but I was thrilled when I found out about the shoes. Then my kids got me a really cute outfit that is going to go perfectly with my chucks.
It has been a great day all around. Now if I can just survive the rest of the week.
