This year just about everyone I know has had to tighten the belt in at least one area of their life…most in several areas. It has made Christmas and New Years Celebrations a little more difficult for some.  Walmart heard the cry and has developed a website with tips, ideas and recipes for a very affordable Christmas Dinner for 8 and a New Year’s Eve Meal for 10.

You can check out the Walmart Holiday Meals website at:  http://www.walmart.com/holidaymeals so that you can learn more about the Christmas Dinner for Eight for as low as $20 and the New Year’s Eve meal for 10 under $40. In addition, you can find some great recipes from the Food Network’s Aaron Sanchez.

Chef Aarón Sánchez – co-star of Food Network’s exciting new series, Chefs vs. City as well as owner and executive chef of restaurants Paladar and Centrico – has always celebrated the holidays in signature Mexican-American fashion.

He has tips for making an extra-special holiday meal with a unique flare for as low as $30 with help from Walmart. The meal…

You can find the contest on YouTube’s specially-created “Caroling Channel”, www.youtube.com/jointhecarolers. There, you can select from one of three carols, create your own “Carol-oke” video and upload for entry into the contest. For each off-price “Carol-oke” video that is uploaded, a charity donation will be made. Please feel free to check out the site and spread the word!

I was supplied with a giftcard for the purpose of letting you all know what a great place TJ Maxx is to shop…especially for all your last minute gift giving needs this year!

So, grab your fat burner put on your expandable pants and lets get ready to cook.

The day starts with a huge beakfast for anyone who wants to show up and is then changed to finger foods and snacks that are replinished throughout the day for all of the people who drop by just to celebrate and spend a little time with us. So what are we going to be having this year? Drop by for a visit over the days to come for a glimpse into our Cookie exchange and preparations of the feast to be enjoyed.
