It is that time of year when we are all looking for quick, easy and affordable appetizers, snacks, etc to feed our family and friends as they drop by to celebrate. Our house is a constant hubbub of activity from Thanksgiving until after the New Year. We have many activities, parties, and impromptu gatherings throughout the holidays…and I am always in the kitchen whipping up something to serve. Now, thanks to Ocean Spray and Heinz there is a simple and easy recipe that can be prepared quickly to serve to all of your guests. And best of all, it is versatile. I served these as a meal the other night when we had friends drop by but they could easily be used to make Meatball Subs, served as is as an appetizer…the possibilities are endless really. With just three ingredients, Ultimate Party Meatballs are bound to be a hit with your guests.

1 pound hamburger, browned and drained
1 can pork and beans
1 can chili beans
1 small jar picante sauce
1 small can tomato sauce
1 cube beef bouillon
2 tablespoons chili powder
A little water (like maybe 1/2-1 cup)
Mix in crock pot and cook on low approx. 6 hours or until you are ready to eat it. That is the joy of cooking in the crock pot, it stays warm until you are ready for it. Any chili recipe could be made in the crock pot I think, it is just so easy to throw everything in there and forget it till you are ready for supper. Or do you call it dinner? Here in the South, it is supper.
