If you are like me you are constantly on the lookout for fun new games that your whole family will enjoy. We love the classics but sometimes we want something new and fresh from our usual. With the new line of Hasbro card games we can have both! And talk about fun, we have had a blast playing three of the new 2010 games that came out this Spring and are highly anticipating the release of the fourth this Fall. Many nights you will find us involved in a card or board game, it is what we love to do. We don’t really have an official Family Game Night since we actually celebrate it several times a week. However, we did join in the National Family Game Night last year and we plan to join in on the 2010 Family Game night.  The date for 2010 will be Wednesday, September 29 when once again, Hasbro will encourage families across the U.S. to turn off the television and take a break from busy schedules to laugh and bond over classic family board games such as MONOPOLY, SORRY! and THE GAME OF LIFE.

According to a recent Hasbro survey, 42% of Americans said that they’ve laughed so hard when playing a board game that they’ve snorted! And 25% of Americans have even celebrated a big win with a flashy victory dance. Have you had any laugh out loud moments when playing games? Feel free to post your favorite moments on their Facebook page.

Hasbro has introduced a new line of card games that take a spin on traditional game for the second year in a row. My kids decided to swap rooms. That may not sound like a big deal to most people…but you don’t know my kids. Erin is the messiest girl alive and Tate is a packrat. I told them, it was all up to them…I wasn’t getting involved in this adventure. It took them 4 days. FOUR days. It was almost enough to drive me over the edge to drinking. I thought those 2 would never finish and there is still stuff crammed into the laundry room. What did I do this whole time? I decided since I couldn’t drink I would start gambling online.

I am not a poker player. Never have been. So, I read the instructions. I think Blackjack is more my speed. Less skill involved.

Do you gamble online? One thing about it, the other players wouldn’t be able to see that I have absolutely no poker face. I give everything away. When we all get together here at my house and play Shanghai Rummy…everyone knows what kind of hand I have. There is just no hiding it.

Now, what was the craziest thing found during the big room swap? An empty jar of cake frosting. I will just let you guess which one was hiding that away. Oh, we did get rid of about a thousand pounds of rocks though. My house leveled back out.

THIS CONTEST IS CLOSED!!!

Uggg, it is a dreary rainy day here in Georgia. That is nothing new but I a so tired of all the rain, muck and mud. My driveway has almost washed completely away with ruts the size of Texas in it and I just want to crawl under the covers and hide from all the dreariness of it. So, instead…I have been working on Christmas stuff. I love Christmas. I love preparing for it, decorating for it, cooking for it…every aspect of the Holidays thrills me beyond belief. I am already doing some test cooking so that I can share tons of yummy goodness with you…and I have been putting together a list of my favorite things to share with you. In all my preparations, cards is near the top of the list. Each year we have a family photo taken and make out Christmas cards out of them. One year we did the black and white route, one year we had matching gowns and hats made that we all wore, one year we all wore Santa hats. It just varies from year to year.

Tunza Cards are this great! They are like index cards that can be used over and over again. Hence their logo…Tunza Cards to use Tunza times in Tunza ways for Tunza things.

tunza

We use index cards constantly . I always keep them on my desk, in our school area and by the phone. We make lists, notes, whatever on them. Now with Tunza cards we can save some trees since with the Tunza Cards you write on them with a Sharpie type marker, then wipe off with alcohol to re-use. They don’t smear or smudge. And at $5.99 they are affordable.

We are loving them as homemade flash cards and the best part is that when we are finsihed, we can wipe them clean and make a whole new set!

Check out Tunza cards today and the Tunza ways you can use them.
