Terrible News
February 24th, 2010Well folks, there has been a tragedy! I hate to bring you this news. It is so hard to talk about it without falling to pieces. It has to do with these…

And this….

It is horrible. You can’t see it from this angle, but the back of the store is burnt. The inside is a mess.
I haven’t heard how the fire started yet, the cause still has to be determined. And they are not sure if they will rebuild/remodel or whatever. All that I found left when I drove through the parking lot was a box cutter. The inside is all black and gross. Not bright and full of life.
THAT my friends means that the closest store to me is not OPEN!!
That means I have to drive all the way to town if I want to buy stuff.
It is a terrible, terrible thing!
I am saddened and in despair.
If you don’t see me for a few days, I am in mourning over our loss. I know that we only had DG with us for about 2 years but the grief cuts deep.
Ok, so yes, I can go into town and visit one of the other 7 or 8 located in our county, but I liked this one goshdarnit!

PrankPacks (GIVEAWAY)
November 11th, 2009THIS GIVEAWAY HAS ENDED !!
But you can always check out Prank Packs to order some for yourself.

The goal of every Prank PackTM is quite simple: to make friends and family squirm with discomfort with what appears to be a hapless gift. Each fake gift box depicts ridiculous products created by clueless companies. Inside hides the real present, but the true gift is the unease and half-hearted enthusiasm created by the Prank Pack.
The 2009 line includes:

• Noggin’ Net - A revolutionary fishing net AND hat - perfect for the outdoorsman in your life. Available in 3 sizes.
• Motorized Rolling Pin - A rechargeable, 1/16th HP, microwave-safe rolling pin from the French chef Henri Rémoulade.
• Coffee Talkie - The world’s first combination two way radio and travel mug. Features a caffeine resistant keypad and 1200 foot range.
• Birdie Belt - Quite simply, the ultimate golf gadget built in to a belt buckle. With features like a GPS RangeFinder, 2 Foot Antenna, Divot Repair Tool, Corkscrew, Bottle Opener and more. Golfers will be both excited and puzzled. But mostly excited.
I LOVE PrankPacks. They are ingenious…and perfect for most of my family. We are always trying to OneUp each other and this year…I think I will get the prize! Prank Packs made this years gift guide because they are fun. And every time I see them, I crack up…just can’t help myself. And I have the perfect people I plan to use Prank Packs on. It is going to be priceless! The Motorized Rolling Pin is my absolute favorite! Well, ok…I really like the Coffee Talkie too. But as a foodie, I can’t wait to use the Motorized Rolling Pin Prank Pack on someone…and the funniest thing is…they would be thrilled to have a motorized rolling pin which is what is going to make is even funnier when they open the box.
