I love the Shrek movies. They are one of the few movies that we all sit down and watch together as a family. We all have such different tastes in what we like to watch, but Shrek gets us all…as does McDonalds. McDonalds has so much going on in conjunction with the Shrek Forever After movie that released in movie theaters May 21st:
*McDonald’s is introducing a new, shareable Shrek-themed 20-pc. McNuggets of Fun Pack – good for the whole family – featuring Shrek ears for the handle and Shrek-themed games and activities on packaging.
*McNugget of Fun digital codes, found on each 20-pc. McNuggets of Fun Pack, 10-pc. Chicken McNuggets box, and on inserts in the collectible Shrek glassware, can be used to unlock fun family games and rewards online, such as a one-night Redbox DVD rental or 25 prints from Snapfish by HP at www.McDonalds.com/McNuggets .
*Kids can join in the fun with the Shrek Forever After Happy Meal collection and can “Shrek Out” their Happy Meal with Shrek-themed Apple Dippers and Milk Jugs, designed to encourage them to eat more fruits and dairy. The Shrek Forever After Happy Meal also features eight talking Shrek toys and for Shrek character watches.
*McDonald’s is also permanently introducing an 8 oz. snack-size McFlurry, a great size for an afternoon treat. And to celebrate, McDonald’s is offering a limited-time flavor: Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup.

Family mealtime is more fun at McDonald’s with McDonald’s great-tasting Chicken McNuggets®, made with white meat chicken, and DreamWorks Animation’s Shrek Forever After™, the final chapter, in theaters May 21. Shrek and friends are back at McDonald’s, and this month, families can purchase and share new, limited-time Shrek Forever After-themed McNuggets of Fun Packs and can gain access to unique digital experiences with fun rewards. McDonald’s Celebrates Shrek for the Whole Family
Each 20-pc. McNuggets of Fun Pack* and 10-pc. Chicken McNuggets will include a McNugget™ of Fun Code** that unlocks fun family games and rewards online at www.mcdonalds.com/mcnuggets. Happy Meal is More Fun with Shrek
To help make eating fruits and dairy more fun, kids can “Shrek Out” their Happy Meal® with Apple Dippers and low-fat Milk Jugs featuring Shrek themed graphics. In 2007, McDonald’s featured Shrek on the packaging of Happy Meal items including low-fat Milk Jugs and Apple Dippers and have since seen an increase in the number of these items sold. Timed to the Shrek promotion, McDonald’s unveiled “Stage M,” an action packed, interactive online experience for kids featuring new music videos recorded by popular kids’ artists. The videos – found online at www.happymeal.com – use colorful animation and music to engage kids in the taste and appeal of fruits and vegetables.
Talking Shrek Happy Meal toys (available from May 14 – June 10) and distinctive Shrek character watches (available from June 11 – 24) are also part of the excitement, while supplies last, at participating U.S. McDonald’s restaurants.

…my vacuum cleaner that is. And it should. That is what they are supposed to do. Mine doesn’t. Normally, I guess that would be a good thing to say about something but in this case, it just makes it sad.
We go through vacuum cleaners around here like they are a disposable commodity. With the kids, their friends, 3 dogs and living in the country I am beginning to think that there really isn’t a vacuum cleaner that can stand up to our busy lives. Oh, and the fact that they are fed a regular diet of BB’s probably doesn’t help either. And possibly legos. And maybe an army man here or there. And pieces of whatever Abigail decided to chew up that day. Ok, so around here there is no regular healthy diet of just plain dirt and dust. We don’t like traditional, what can I say.
My vacuum decided to finally die yesterday. It sighed and heaved, said “So Long you abusive heathens” and promptly started smoking and spitting sparks at us. The dogs ran and hid, afraid that after all the abuse they had imparted upon said vacuum that they were going to be the main target of revenge.
Now I am left wondering how we are ever going to survive with out our dearly departed friend. And when on earth I am ever going to make the trek to the big town to get another and what in the world I am going to get this time. I always seem to choose wrong. I just hope that while I am gone the dogs do not decide to take on the allergy bedding. I can just see feathers and such everywhere. And no vacuum to then torture with the mess.
