I’m So EXCITED!

I am going to Nashville!

Yeppers, I really am. There is so much going on this week it isn’t even funny. Packing, getting a haircut and eyebrow wax, cooking enough BBQ for about 200 people, throwing a huge party in Nashville and attending a blog conference! I sooo wish I had a new camera to take along. You know, one of those unique gifts for her that she never buys herself. Anyway, I am not sure I can fit everything that I need to do before I leave in…but I will make it somehow or another.

I seriously hope I get to see some fabulous country music star. There is going to be an appearance by Harry Conick Jr for the conference attendees on Friday night but I chose to go forward with a learning dinner instead of attending the concert. I know. Now, if it had been George Straight you can bet yoer britches I wouldn’t have missed that for the world! That man makes me swoon!

Clip Me Over!

My daughter is so talented. She has sewn me several aprons that I absolutely adore. She works with the local 4-H group teaching some of them how to sew. She makes really neat wind chimes out of what most people would consider junk. The only bad thing about her that I know of is that she makes me auto insurance higher. Now,  she has started making these:

She has created lots of super cute designs so far.

But this one, this one is THE best:

SEE, it has my name on it. And it has lots of orange in it.

She is going to make one of these for each of the Focus Group Members chosen to go to the We Blog Conference!

I am so excited…they will LOVE them.

Biting The Bullet

Well, I bit the bullet. I made an Orthopedic appointment. My back, while some better, still hurts everyday. I am very blessed and thankful that I can walk but I am so tired of living this way…and not knowing each morning how it is going to be once I get out of the bed. So, I called. I made the appointment that I said I wasn’t ever going to make. What will happen? I have no idea but we are going to see. He is a Spine Specialist that comes highly recommended. Now, if I just don’t chicken out.

There is this really funny thing going on here. While Bric was out for his surgery he got VERY bored. He watched more TV than I ever thought was humanly possible. But one day…he visited my blog. He has never even looked at it before and I have had it for OVER a YEAR. So I was shocked when  came home one day and he told me he had been browsing around…and that it was pretty cool. Hehe, I have a pretty cool blog. Anyway, I have some business cards for my blog. So when people ask me how they can visit I can just hand them a card and it has all the info. I don’t have anymore. Not a one. Bric has taken them all and been handing them all out. That kinda makes me feel good that he likes my blog enough to brag about it.

Ok, now to the really good stuff. You know how sometimes I have little contests hidden away? Well, today is that day. I have survived!

Whew, I survived it all. I got it all clean, I got all the cooking done. We had lots of company and lots of fun. Did I take any pictures to show you? Nope, not a one. I forgot. So, my daughters big 18th birthday passed without one single photo. Her journey into being a legal adult has gone undocumented.

Today is being spent vegged out on the couch, recuperating from all of the activities and gearing up for next week. There will be lots going on between the new home school schedule a few field trips and who knows what you will see here. Maybe a surprise or two.
