The Art House DVD series uses energetic songs and animation to reinforce this simple artistic principle: everything around you is made up of basic shapes and when you learn to draw those, you can draw anything!
Art House Volume 1: Basic Shapes and Animals is fun and educational, teaching your child to use basic shapes to create pictures and drawing that are worthy of your home art gallery, the refrigerator door. Now you can join Teacher Emily and the Art House Gang as they learn to use basic shapes to draw your favorite animals and enjoy fun songs, music videos and animation throughout the video.
Locally we have seen some major cut backs in the public school system and electives were some of the first programs to be cut. Art was considered an elective class, but with the loss of recreational time and many of the more creative classes…how are children supposed to nurture their natural desire to be creative and unique individuals? I hope you are all having a GREAT weekend. We have been cooking and baking up a storm around here. We attended a baby shower yesterday and ended up being there for 8 hours. Yep, you read it right. We have some family in from Holland that I didn’t realize were here so we stayed and shot the bull for quite some time. He was once a chef and it was great talking food, even if I do feel like I need a weight loss pill now. We exchanged e-mails so that we can hopefully stay in touch and he has promised to share some recipes. Yum, can’t wait for that!
