I am Jyl, just a small town country girl at heart. I live in Hick Town with my husband, 2 children and an assortment of critters. Here at The Post-It Place you will find glimpses of life in a small town, recipes that encompass both traditional Southern Cooking and Contemporary, and everything imaginable in between like contests, product reviews, family life, critters, giveaways, etc.
The Post-It Place was created as a creative outlet for me and has grown into a love. With a diverse crowd of readers I try to offer something for everyone, therefore you never know what you will find at The Post-It Place.

Good afternoon Jyl, I’m glad to have seen a giveaway on my fb page for your blog. I came from the country but wanted the city so badly – now that I am aging the country seems more appealing. Just found you from Southern Plate, looked over a lot of your recipes and copied some. I also live in a tiny country town and love it. I left you a question on your tomato relish recipe. Love canning and freezing and the feeling of complete satisfaction when I look at all of our hard work in the garden in the summer lining my pantry shelves.
In reading About you I find similarities and enjoy reading your blog. You sound like you have a blessed life. Keep up the good work.
