Good ol’ Hicktown got a doughnut shop!!!
I have been eying the place just waiting on them to open. Kinda stalkerish like. But thank goodness they couldn’t see me from the road, driving by…over and over again.Yes, that is a little sad but we never get anything new or good around these parts…and this is New AND GOOD!
So when I went by today and saw the open sign I think I might have pee’d my pants a little with excitement!
I whipped my little car around so fast it would have given you whiplash and dashed inside…then the smells of heaven hit me. OhhhhhMyStinkinHeck. It smelled so good. And looking in the case I just about had to offer to mop the floor from all the drool.

It was hard to decide…but I did. I ended up getting a dozen mixed doughnuts…and then because I bought a dozen they gave me 6 free.

And also threw in a bag of doughnut holes. Fresh, soft, delicious. I may be in a diabetic coma before long. If you don’t hear from me make sure to praise God for taking me out in such a heavenly fashion.
The Donut Palace is located on S. Third Ave., you should really make a point to stop in and say Hi…and buy a few yourself. Make sure you empty the case…so I can’t go back for awhile. Because I really have no self-control when it comes to doughnuts and cannot be held responsible.

Oh my stinking heck for real. I can’t wait to come back up there and check this place out. Hope their business does well.
We’ll have to try this place when we go back through Chatsworth. Did that place called “Pork and Beans” or something lke that ever open? If so, are they any good?
They did finally open up. I haven’t tried them myself yet but I have heard others talk about their experience. I have been told that the staff was not very friendly and that the food was a little expensive and not that great. But, like I said that is what I have heard from others, can’t speak from personal experience.
