It is so hard to believe that summer is almost over. Kinda makes me sad although fall is my favorite time of the year. I love the cooler weather, the changing of the leaves, wearing boots and sweatshirts. I love fall foods, they just speak comfort to my soul.

Sunglasses and snorkels will be tucked away, the pool will be winterized and my favorite potato soup will be simmering away. School books are being selected, extra-curricular activities chosen…although I don’t think we will be venturing toward using a roland v accordion fr 1 any time soon.
This summer seems to have flown by quicker than any other, but like I have always heard, the older you get the quicker time goes by.
What is your favorite time of the year?

It’s a toss up between Fall and Spring for me, the beautiful colors of the leaves, cooler temps, the opportunity to have a fire in the fire pit without swatting the bugs is just heaven! But Spring brings the chance to start anew, the bulbs that start sprouting their leaves, promises of Daffodils and Tulips, the roses that start to bud and bloom. All the work that is put into veggie gardens start to show the promise of future harvests. So many beautiful things available if one just looks for each of the seasons.
I will be making your Potato soup for sure, but will also be using some of my tomatoes and green beans, carrots and peppers in some good soups and stews and of course some heated up chili!!! Love using my homegrown canned and frozen veggies in the cold winter dinners!!
