I speak one language….Southern. So, when we are doing Spanish as part of Tate’s homeschool curriculum I get really, really frustrated. I have no idea what the lesson is saying and need translators myself. Thank goodness for the world wide web on those days.
There are many translation service platforms out there these days. Thank goodness. Because trust me…a southerner trying to speak Spanish isn’t pretty. Most of the translation services on the web are free and have no minimum word count which comes in really handy on those days when we have Spanish lessons. The sad part is that I took Spanish in High School and all I can remember are the curse words.
Hmmm, I wonder if there is a place that will translate Southern into plain English because my husband could really use that. I am seriously considering doing some video posts…and can’t wait to see how many of ya’ll can make heads and tails of what the heck I am talking about. In other words, it is going to get interesting. I just have to get over this cold so you don’t have that to deal with on top of my accent.

Too funny, my son and I were talking about this the other day! Apparently one of his college TAs for his Spanish class has quite the southern accent. LOL
