This year just about everyone I know has had to tighten the belt in at least one area of their life…most in several areas. It has made Christmas and New Years Celebrations a little more difficult for some. Walmart heard the cry and has developed a website with tips, ideas and recipes for a very affordable Christmas Dinner for 8 and a New Year’s Eve Meal for 10.
You can check out the Walmart Holiday Meals website at: http://www.walmart.com/holidaymeals so that you can learn more about the Christmas Dinner for Eight for as low as $20 and the New Year’s Eve meal for 10 under $40. In addition, you can find some great recipes from the Food Network’s Aaron Sanchez.
Chef Aarón Sánchez – co-star of Food Network’s exciting new series, Chefs vs. City as well as owner and executive chef of restaurants Paladar and Centrico – has always celebrated the holidays in signature Mexican-American fashion.
He has tips for making an extra-special holiday meal with a unique flare for as low as $30 with help from Walmart. The meal…
…looks divine. With simple ingredients

So for $20-$30 You can have a fabulous Christmas dinner this year making it a joyous ime for you and your family.

And for about $40 you can bring in the New year with style!
Thanks to Walmart and Chef Aarón Sánchez you won’t have to worry about how to provide a meal that is sure to impress your family and friends. And all of the recipes are available on the website to make it even easier for you.
Thanks to Walmart and Mom Central YOU can enter to win one of two $30 Walmart gift cards. If you would like to enter to win one of these great giftcards all you have to do is leave a comment stating how you will be celebrating Christmas this year. With friends on their farm
We went over to a friends house for Christmas and had a good time
We celebrated with family and friends in our home.
My husband and I have 4 children, from 2 to 15, so this year we’ve decided to settle ourselves in our pj’s at home, in our cozy LR. Emeril’s Famous Maple Ham has become a staple for our Christmas dinner for the past 3 years. And my mothers basketfull (and I mean FULL) of homemade cookies. These are the memories forever engraved in our hearts.
main entry: Christmas day was just my husband & I and we have a christmas breakfast then exchange gifts. thank you

We had Xmas dinner at the in-laws; the only thing that “saved it” for me was the Lakers-Cavaliers game on ESPN…it went steadily downhill after that !!!

I fixed dinner at home for my mother and myself, and the pets. I made the deserts-pumpkin pies, pecan pie, chocolate chip cookies, and fruitcake-the day before. I think I had a bit of the flu on Christmas, and was all achey and felt bad, so I didn’t make a huge amount of food. We played Yahtzee and Boggle. I ate too much candy, and couldn’t eat desert until 10 p.m.
Since I was feeling a little under the weather, we spent Christmas at home. We had a lot of fun, and I made a great Christmas breakfast for all!
We opened presents at home and went to my parent’s house.

At home with my husband, kids and new kitten.
This year, Christmas day was spent at my aunt’s house with my parents, brothers, sister, aunts, uncles, cousins, my nephew and my daughter. And I actually have a family that has fun when we are together. The celebrating is not yet done as we will be attending my mom’s holiday party this Sunday – and my husband won’t be working for a change, so he will get to go.
