As a Mom, I find myself searching the internet on a regular basis looking for all kinds of information about kids, for my kids, and related to kids. Recognizing that many moms out there scour the Web for parenting resources, Kellogg’s Frosted Mini-Wheats cereal and MSN.com have created “Mom’s Homeroom.” This online resource, located at momshomeroom.msn.com, is designed to provide real advice based on experiences from other moms. Other mom’s like us. The ones who have been down in the trenches and know what kind of information we seek.

Mom’s Homeroom is updated twice a month, the site explores topics ranging from nutrition, memory and retention, to classroom attentiveness. It includes unscripted videos, articles and discussion boards. Among those contributing to the conversation are four experts in the field of elementary education, home schooling, child psychiatry and nutrition. The site also includes great resources such as:

Scholastic and Encarta articles, tools, and activities
Tips on reading comprehension
Ways to work with your child’s sports coach
Articles on the meaning and importance of community service
Memory tricks to help kids in school

All this information, paired with a bowl of Frosted Mini-Wheats…a Mom can’t go wrong.

“Frosted Mini-Wheats is committed to connecting moms with resources, each other to help their kids do their best in school,” said Anne-Marie Suarez-Davis, director of mom brands at the Battle Creek, Mich.-based Kellogg Co. “Parents carry a wealth of knowledge and experience, and it’s exciting to help them share it with one another, while connecting them with the resources they are looking for.”

“I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central on behalf of Kellogg’s Frosted Mini-Wheats and received a sample to facilitate my candid review. In addition, Mom Central sent me a gift card to thank me for taking the time to participate.”
