With school starting back for kids a good education is on the minds of parents everywhere. On the minds of kids everywhere is enjoying the last days of summer. For more than 15 years, Knowledge Adventure has set the standard in children’s software by creating the finest educational products for use in the home and the classroom. In addition to their CD games, they’ve launched a beta version of their first browser-based virtual world at www.JumpStart.com for kids 3-10 years old. Kids can create avatars called Jumpeez for themselves and explore magical worlds, discovering and unlocking games, videos, and storybooks that help them practice essential skills from math to reading. Over the next year, they will continue to add more features, portals, and learning games to this site. I encourage you to check it out at www.JumpStart.com and combine your child’s sense of adventure and fun with your desire to educate and teach them.

At first we had several issues with this site. It was slow to load and would skip and act like a record that got hung up. I contacted JumpStart and found that it was me, not them. It is recommended that you use Internet Explorer and I was using Firefox. Once I switched browsers I had no problems at all. So with things running much smoother, the fun began. The kids LOVED the ease of the site and how they can wander around and explore finding fun activities at every turn. You can allow your children to play without the fear of them running into people or things that they shouldn’t be exposed to. It is completely safe. And while they are having fun, they won’t even realize that they are learning as well. The game teaches math, reading, and critical thinking skills so kids get a real jump start in life. They even have several 3D Virtual World titles available on CD Rom.

We have used JumpStart CD based programs for many years. Erin, my 18 year old college bound gal even used JumpStart when she was little. Over the years we have watched as they have expanded their line and grown to meet parents demand for more. While browsing around their website I even found several more things that we want to check out. The Code Heads and Dr. Brain line!
If you are looking for some fun and educational products to help your child get a head start…I highly suggest you give it to them with JumpStart!
And you can enter to win a 3-Month Membership to the new JumpStart browser based virtual world for your child.
