Today, we spent the day on top of the local mountain with some new friends. They have a LARGE family and we LOVE interacting with them. Five of their kids are in Tate’s Karate class. They are a precious bunch and I feel like I have known them forever even though it has only been about a month or two.

Tate about to get dunked by Erin
Fort Mountain has a great park, I would suppose it would be a State Park, not sure. Playgrounds, Picnic areas, Lake, Beach, Hiking trails, Camping, etc. It is a really nice place to take a family for the day or the week…and on Wednesday, it is free. So, we packed up ou lunch and joined our friends for a day of lounging on the beach, swimming in the lake and picnic’ing. No matter how I spell picnicing it just doesn’t look right, I hate when that happens. We had a great time. I do wish that a few people would learn that band-aids just don’t look that great on a whale and buy a bathing suit that actually fits. I am sorry but I think that if your belly hangs over your bikini bottoms so bad you can’t tell you have bottoms on except from the back, you shouldn’t be wearing a bikini! And if it is that improtant, get some diet pills.

I also hate when I forget sunscreen, which I did today. And oh my, we are all a little tender this evening. And we have to get ready to go to Karate. I think Tate is in for it tonight. Not going to be comfortable sparring.
When we came home we had a nice little treat in our yard. So sweet I just had to show you:

Twin Baby Deer
Now I know what has been eating out of my garden. The Mama Deer came and showed herself later but I didn’t get a picture. Erin has seen a buck or two run through as well…I haven’t seen them yet though.

Awwwww, how cute. Glad you all had some R&R. Bout time.
I was just thinking this morning when it was sweltering hot before 9am how much we need to escape to the mountains.
Oh that has a HUGE “Awwwwwww” factor! Too cute! So sorry about the burn though – aloe, aloe, and more aloe!
Now, how fun is that! Love the twin baby deer, too!
