Hey, you know that recipe box I am giving away? Well, I am not putting any of the recipes here on the website in the box. The person who wins it can get them off the site and I am sure they want new stuff. Stuff that isn’t on here. Stuff that might not ever be on here. It might be, but it might not is all I am saying. Oh, and I am still working on the box. It isn’t finished yet. I hope it is before the contest is up, but well…let’s just leave it I hope. I should have just said I would send them one of the cookbooks I made. Cause no one has those but family and close personal friends that begged and pleaded and one person that I do not know. But I am committed. I will get all of our favorites written out for your cooking pleasure, whoever you are. I am halfway there at this point. But, while working on that recipe box, I remembered that I haven’t posted a recipe in awhile and thought it past time to do so.
This is a great quick and easy meal that the whole family will love. It is also one of those comfort foods that just soothes your soul when you need it.
HAM & SWISS PASTRY BAKE
2 cups chopped ham
1 cup shredded swiss cheese
1/4 cup chopped celery
1/4 cup chopped bell pepper
2 TBSP minced onions
1 tsp dry mustard
1 TBSP lemon juice
1/3 cup mayonnaise
Mix it all together and pour into an unbaked 9″ deep dish pie shell. Bake it at 375 degrees for 30 minutes.
At this point you can decide if you are going to share with everyone or hide in the corner and eat it all yourself. I vote for the corner!

Sounds almost like a quiche. Yum!
