TIME’S UP!!!

During the holidays I use ALOT of nuts. Specifically pecans. I make pecan pies, I make divinity, I make cheese balls…well, you get the idea. A lot of the recipes I use call for pecans. And, I just like to eat them.

Pearson Farms, a farm located here in Georgia has the BEST pecans! They have seasoned ones, they have praline pecans, they have roasted with sea salt pecans, and best of all….they have chocolate covered pecans! Yummmm. But, if you are wanting pecans to cook with…they also have those. Because I can guarantee if you order any of the roasted or seasoned ones, they won’t make it to cook with. I know….because…ummm, I ate all of mine. Every single one of them. I did let the kids each have a chocolate covered one…but the praline, I ate them all. Didn’t share a bite. The sea salt ones…I ate them all too. And the seasoned ones. And the cinnamon ones. Don’t tell anyone. Please. I would say that I am ashamed, but it would be a lie. I enjoyed every bite.

And now…I don’t have a beautiful pie to show you. I was really going to make one, but then I ate all the pecans so that idea went out the window.

Pearson Farms is a family owned and run business. Pecans are just one aspect of what they do. When the season is right…you can get PEACHES! Yummy, Juicy Georgia Peaches. The kind that the juices runs down your chin when you bite into them and the sweetness makes the angels sing. Good stuff I tell ya! They also have Georgia Peanuts. Mary has shared a few recipes and you can even purchase some of her homemade cakes and pies. Or some jam, peach salsa, Vidalia onion dressing. The list goes on.

Go by Pearson Farms today, take a look at some real Southern Goodness! Decide what delicacies would be your favorites and let me know. Just leave me a comment telling me what you think, what you would make. Or if you would just eat them all like I did. What product would you like to try? Oh, and if you see Mary or Al while you are there…do the Southern Hospitality thing….throw your hand up and wave. It is the right thing to do, because they are giving one lucky reader the chance to win a Pecan Sampler pack. Yep, that way I won’t be the only hethern that ate them all, because I guarantee you will too!
