Just about everyone has some version of a hashbrown casserole. But what about a Tater Tot Casserole? Very good, even if I do say so myself. And it is easy to fix.

1 lb. ground beef

3 cups frozen tater tots

1 small onion, chopped

1/2 cup ketchup

Brown the ground beef, then add the onions and ketchup and cook for about 5 minutes longer. Place in a baking dish. Layer the tater tots on top and bake on 300 degrees for 35-45 minutes.

How easy is that? And economical too! You could add other stuff to change it up as you wish. Like bell peppers. Or cheese. Or both. Just use your imagination.

  4. Did you know, they now have tater tots with onions? Even faster that way. I use this basic recipe a lot but thanks for reminding me. I do have a bag of tater tots in the freezer and somwhere in the midst of all that cold dark space with UFOs galore,,,there is a lb of hamburger I am sure. LOL

I use ceam of chicken and sour cream , mixed half and half, sometimes in mine.

  5. HAHA! Nick LOVES this stuff. I make it a bit different though.
I use a can of cream of mushroom soup and mix it with the beef and tator tots.Them add cheese all over the top. Oh yummy! I know what’s for dinner tonight.

  6. I love tater tot casserole, but I don’t put ketchup in mine, instead I use a can of cream of mushroom soup and cheese. I haven’t made it in a while. Sounds good.
